With the release of the new promo poster today, American Horror Story Season 6 spoilers are, literally, all over the web. With this in mind, we’ve decided to try to make sense of some of these spoilers, especially as they become known to us, and to reveal what this new promo poster will tell us about the upcoming season.

Warning: this post contains spoilers. Please do not read this post if you don’t want to read American Horror Story Season 6 spoilers.

First, Yibada is reporting a few, rather interesting, American Horror Story Season 6 spoilers. First, they’ve confirmed that the season premiere of American Horror Story will be on September 14th on FX. Second, they’ve confirmed that the premiere episode of the season will feature an all-star cast that includes Lady Gaga, Angela Bassett, Cheyenne Jackson, Denis O’Hare, Sarah Paulson, Lais Pedroso and Evan Peters. Finally, they’ve also confirmed that there will be a few more clips released that contain more American Horror Story Season 6 spoilers before the season begins. How much these spoilers will actually reveal, however, is up for debate. According to FX CEO John Landgraf, he’s deliberately keeping many of the plot points of the show “a mystery” for as long as he can. (Best of luck to you, sir, though we’re not sanguine about your chances…)

But while some may be excited about this new season of the show, ScreenRant is a little less optimistic about these latest American Horror Story Season 6 spoilers. Referring to this season as the “second leg of the post-Jessica Lange period,” the outlet is concerned that most of these promo materials have little — if anything — to do with the upcoming season’s story lines because there’s no congruity between the promos. In addition to the latest poster that shows a woman wrapped, mummy-style, another American Horror Story promo poster shows a horned creature, and still another shows a question mark coming out of a home in the middle of a field. And, perhaps, their concerns are valid — previous seasons of American Horror Story were set around a theme (such as Asylum and Hotel), which lead to amazing ratings for the show. However, there’s a concern that the show won’t be so advantaged this season because of a lack of central theme. Moreover, ScreenRant is questioning the logic of splitting up, not only the American Horror Story writers room, but the new season itself.

In contrast, however, Movie News Guide is a little more optimistic about the latest round of American Horror Story Season 6 spoilers. They suggest that these latest spoilers actually tie the previous seasons together, and conclude it with a bit of “mystery” at the end. MNG believes that this season will showcase a lot of inexplicable paranormal activity, especially in contrast to the seasons’ past, where the paranormal activity was ultimately explained. They also suggest, based on the photo of the house released by the show, that we can actually get an insight into the story line this season: in the 1800s, in Kansas, a series of murders were carried out by the Bloody Benders family — a series of murders that, at the time, were ruled as regular “disappearances” with a slight supernatural element. They also are suggesting that we’ll get an insight into the word “Croatoan” that was bandied about in previous seasons, and also has a connection to Edgar Allen Poe’s death.

We’ll keep you apprised of all American Horror Story Season 6 spoilers as they become known to us. Leave your thoughts about the latest round of American Horror Story Season 6 spoilers in the comments below.
