Nick Cannon Still ‘Broken’ Over Mariah Carey? Not Ready For A Relationship
Even though they’ve been separated and headed towards finalizing their divorce for over a year now, Nick Cannon has shared recently that he is still broken up over his split from superstar diva Mariah Carey. Carey has even become engaged to billionaire James Packer, but this hasn’t stopped Cannon from speaking of his continued heartbreak over the split that the two went public with back in December of 2014.

While on The Amber Rose Show this past Friday, Cannon spoke openly on the subject of the split and heartbreak over Carey. The 35-year-old admitted that he’s not ready for a relationship. Yahoo! shared the words of Cannon.
“We talking about breakups?Aww, damn.. The world has seen it! I’m not ready to be in a relationship. I’m broken.”
Despite this brokenness the comedian and TV host still feels, he shares that he and Mariah are “absolutely” still cool.
“I speak to her every single day, Matter of fact, I gotta leave here and go pick up the kids [5-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe].”
Amber Rose then went on to share how she can identify with Nick Cannon’s situation as a co-parent, seeing as she shares 3-year-old son Sebastian with her ex-husband, rapper Wiz Khalifa. Rose also commented on how strange she finds it that society paints divorced co-parents as so taboo.
“I don’t know why people out there, they feel like it’s so taboo. Me and Wiz are best friends. We hang out, we spend time with the baby.”
Nick Cannon went on to comment that happy co-parenting is called “being mature” and he added that he praises Amber and Mariah for being fantastic mothers
“Amber is an amazing mother, so is Mariah, and when you see these women who have their own industries, their own empire, but they’re the best mothers ever. They put everything off to the side, so even if a breakup occurs, that doesn’t mean a child should suffer. If anything, the child should be lifted up during that time. You guys do it so well. They gotta grow up in this, they didn’t ask for this. Not only do they have to be in the public light, but then they have to deal with an unorthodox household so, we just, you know, make sure that they’re happy and they understand unconditional love.”
Amber then got off the subject of heartbreak and co-parenting but ensured to question more on the subject of Mariah by asking about the former couple’s sex life and prying as to whether Carey and Cannon ever had sex to any of the singer’s songs. Nick Cannon answered candidly, regardless of admitting that he had gotten in trouble with Carey for talking about the subject when the two were still together.
“I’ve answered this question while I was married. Mistake! Yes, I have. And she didn’t like the fact that I told the world that we had sex to her music, but it was true. I keep it a hundred! That’s amazing, [can] you imagine having sex with Mariah Carey while Mariah Carey is playing in the background? That is a dream come true.”

Nick then went on to apologize to Carey for answering the question once more, even after upsetting the diva earlier with a response to the same question.
“Sorry, Mariah, I said I wasn’t going to say that again but it’s Amber’s fault,” he continued, also telling viewers the song of choice was “Hero,” naturally. “‘When a hero comes along,’ just sayin’ — she wrote it.”
Amber Rose, who Cannon says is a wonderful mother, admitted that she is ready for baby No. 2. Cannon is happy with his 5-year-old twins and although isn’t a fan of his time with the two being termed “visitation,” as In Touch shared, he’s smitten with his little ones and their time together.
