First comes training, then comes gold medals, then comes a guest appearance on a CW show. Sixteen-year-old Olympian McKayla Maroney will be guest starring on an upcoming episode of Hart Of Dixie.
According to Just Jared, McKayla will be playing one of Rose’s (McKaley Miller) friends on the show. The exact details of the plot aren’t available, but I’m guessing that Maroney will, at one point, not be impressed with something on the show.
Maroney and her fab five teammates have made appearances on shows like theLate Show with David Letterman, and now the gymnasts are starting to pick up acting gigs. E! Online reports that Gabby Douglas has already landed a role on The Vampire Diaries. Fellow Olympian Ryan Lochte has also picked up an acting gig. The famous swimmer will play himself on an upcoming episode of 90210.

It’s not clear when McKayla Maroney will guest star on Hart of Dixie, but it will happen sometime this season. The second season of the CW show premieres on October 2 at 8 pm.
Hart of Dixie focuses on Dr. Zoe Hart (Rachel Bilson) who works at a small hospital in Bluebell, Alabama.
