‘Days Of Our Lives’: Jen Lilley On Finding Tate – Theresa Not Convinced Victor Is Guilty – Has More Empathy Since Becoming A Mom [Spoilers]

Days Of Our Lives spoilers have been scarce since the Olympics took over NBC for two weeks. The soap opera is finally returning on Monday and there are new DOOL spoilers available. Actress Jen Lilley recently spoke about Brady and Theresa reuniting with Tate, the young mother having more empathy, and Theresa having doubts that Victor Kiriakis was involved in the kidnapping.

Days Of Our Lives spoilers are ahead. If you do not want to know what happens on the NBC soap opera next, then stop reading.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Theresa Donovan (Jen Lilley) will find their kidnapped son, Tate. John Black (Drake Hogestyn) is the man who reunites the family. However, not everything is going to go smoothly afterward. Before getting to that, Jen Lilley spoke about her character in the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest. What can fans look forward to?

In the Day Of Our Lives interview, Lilley said that Theresa feels overwhelming joy that her son has been found. She is furious that Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) may have been involved in Tate’s kidnapping. However, she is mainly focused on her son and that he is safe. That isn’t the only emotions that Theresa is feeling, though. She also has tremendous guilt that she was unable to fend off the drugs that rendered her unconscious. As fans know, when Theresa passed out, it gave the kidnapper an opportunity to take Tate.

As for Victor’s arrest on Days Of Our Lives, Theresa has more empathy now that she is a mother. Even though it seems like Victor is guilty, she really doesn’t know what happened or who was truly responsible. She also feels like it is tearing the Kiriakis family apart. The magazine revealed that while Brady is convinced Victor kidnapped Tate, Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) and Justin (Wally Kurth) believe the grandfather is innocent. Eric Martsolf explained the storyline to Soap Opera Digest.

“Brady believes that Victor was behind the whole thing, while the other members of the Kirkiakis family can’t understand why he would focus on his grandfather as the culprit. Justin and Sonny have more faith in Victor than Brady. For a family that is trying to strengthen its family bonds, this is a problem. It creates a big divide in the Kiriakis family.”

Jen Lilley added a few DOOL spoilers regarding Theresa’s perspective on Victor.

“Theresa wants to see Victor punished if he’s guilty, but at the same time, she’s not completely sure if Victor was behind the kidnapping. Since becoming a mother, Theresa has developed more empathy.”

There is a part of Theresa on Days Of Our Lives that wonders if she is creating a divide between Brady and his family. This makes her feel guilty, something that fans are not used to seeing with Jen Lilley’s character on the soap opera.

The actress added that Theresa is also concerned about the effect the kidnapping will have on Tate. Was he traumatized by the abduction? Will he remember any of it? These are a few questions that enter into Theresa’s mind when she thinks about her son.

What do you think of what Jen Lilley and Eric Martsolf had to say about Tate’s kidnapping and Victor’s arrest? Is he guilty or innocent? Eventually, it appears that he might be released from jail because in the NBC preview, Victor is at Brady and Theresa’s wedding.

Days Of Our Lives will air new episodes on August 22. Keep watching NBC to find out what happens with Brady, Theresa, Tate, Victor, and the rest of the DOOL characters.
