‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7 Spoilers: New Leader Cast? Who Is Brion? Is This A ‘TWD’ Code Name For Alpha?
The Walking Dead Season 7 spoilers keep coming in, and fans are starting to get excited. It was recently teased to expect more leaders and communities when the zombie apocalypse TV show returns. Based on the information available, it seems that the show is looking to cast a leader named Brion. In the past, the series has used code names to keep spoilers to a minimum. So, who could Brion be? Is it possible that fans will be seeing Alpha soon?

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, expect new communities and groups of survivors. It was also revealed that there will be new leaders, all with different leadership styles. As fans know, The Walking Dead Season 7 will not just be about Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). There will also be Ezekiel (Khary Payton) and the Kingdom. It was speculated that Oceanside might also make an appearance. Besides these, who else from Robert Kirkman’s comic books could show up?
Recently, a look back at The Walking Dead Season 7 trailer revealed that Tara (Alanna Masterson) and Heath (Corey Hawkins) could end up meeting the Whisperers. In the video clip, which is posted below, Tara and Heath watch walkers rise out of the mud. However, there is something odd about it. First of all, the walkers seem to rise together, as if it were synchronized or choreographed. The dead do not think like this. In the comic books, this is something that the Whisperers would do. In fact, they go around wearing leathered skin of the dead as masks and walk among the zombies. There are small clues that separate the Whisperers from real walkers. One is that walkers have white around the eyes, and the Whisperers have black.
What does this have to do with a new leader being cast? Well, the Spoiling Dead Fans posted about the show looking for a leader named Brion. As fans know, the series has a long history of using code names to hide who is really appearing. Ezekiel was called “Augustus” for a long time, but the character description gave away who it was. So, who is Brion on The Walking Dead? Could it be Alpha, leader of the Whisperers?
Even though Brion sounds like a man’s name, The Walking Dead Season 7 spoiler post reveals that it could be a man or woman. As comic book readers know, Alpha in the comics is a female. ComicBook.com made the connection and it makes a lot of sense. The website noted that Alpha technically shouldn’t be appearing until Season 8. However, the showrunner recently revealed that sometimes things will be moved around, including the introduction of certain TWD characters. If it was the Whisperers in the official trailer, then meeting Alpha shouldn’t be far behind.
Many TWD fans have been expecting Alpha and the Whisperers for some time. Back in Season 3, Rick, Michonne (Danai Gurira), and Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) found Morgan (Lennie James). After the death of his son, Morgan went crazy and was rambling about survivors “wearing dead people’s faces.” This is exactly what the Whisperers do. As Kirkman explained in his comic books, they use a process of drying skin and turning it into leather. Then, they wear the dead skin like masks.
