Miley Cyrus And Liam Hemsworth Cancel Honeymoon: Did Wedding Bells Turn Into Wrecking Ball?

Miley Cyrus and her fiancé, Liam Hemsworth, finally seemed to have found the recipe for a romantic relationship that would last, with plans for a honeymoon that featured Bora Bora. Cyrus even had the flights and lodging ready, but now the “Wrecking Ball” songstress has suddenly canceled all those honeymoon plans, an insider told Us Weekly.

“They had the entire trip planned, but Miley just decided she didn’t want to go there anymore,” shared the Cyrus insider. “They have yet to pick a new locale.”

Moreover, it isn’t just the honeymoon that shows signs of a wrecking ball thrown into the wedding plans. Initially, Miley liked the concept of a modestly small beach wedding ceremony to be held in Australia. But then Cyrus tossed out that idea as well, with a friend telling Us that Miley is having problems making any decisions about her future with Liam.

“[Cyrus] is still very erratic with her decision-making.”

With the summer wedding down the garbage disposal, Miley and Hemsworth have decided to tie the knot in the autumn. They still don’t know exactly when or where, added the insider.

And the two can’t even agree on whether to have an enormous ceremony or a small, intimate wedding.

“Miley is pretty adamant about having a small, private ceremony,” revealed the source. “But Liam wants a really big wedding.”

Will they be able to compromise? The insider feels optimistic, predicting that the couple will achieve a consensus despite their on-again-off-again relationship history.

Hemsworth and Cyrus initially became engaged in 2012. They broke up the following September, living separate lives the next two years. Because of that, the two shocked everyone by rekindling their romance in December 2015.

Finally confessing his true feelings about his past with Miley, Liam recently explained that the breakup was challenging but essential at the time.

“Of course it was hard, man,” admitted the 26-year-old actor. “But we were both going in different directions and it’s just what needed to happen. We were both super young and it was a good decision at the time — we both needed that.”

Now that they are trying to plan their wedding, the 23-year-old singer’s godmother, Dolly Parton, is at least one celebrity who wants to attend.

“If she ever decides to really go and do it, I’d love to be there!”

While Miley and Liam battle it out over whether to have a big wedding or small wedding as well as the location and honeymoon, they also have another possible problem to consider with the moved-out autumn wedding goal. Cyrus is immersed in shooting for The Voice TV singing competition.

After Christina Aguilera made history on last season’s The Voice as the first female coach to win, this season will mark the first time the show has two female coaches. In addition to Miley, Alicia Keys will slip into one of the coach chairs, reported People.

And although Cyrus might be bickering with Hemsworth over the specifics of their wedding ceremony, she has vowed to keep any fighting on The Voice at low volume. Miley recommends viewers who want to watch fighting keep their eyes on the other coaches, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.

“As much as the world loves to make this girl cat fight scenario, that’s actually Blake and Adam.”

But just how much has Miley’s new role on The Voice altered her plans for her future with Liam? An insider told Hollywood Life that both Cyrus and her boyfriend are so busy with their careers that they are considering eloping.

“Their careers have kept them so busy — planning a wedding is not a priority,” explained the insider.

“The ongoing joke with them has been about secretly eloping in Mexico or Vegas.”

Although Cyrus and her fiancé do still dream of tying the knot with their pals and relatives in Australia, the new plan reportedly focuses on avoiding detailed plans.

“They would still like to get hitched with family and friends in Australia, but have agreed to let things happen organically,” summed up the source.
