Sansa Stark To Die In ‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 7, Confirms Sophie Turner

Game of Thrones Season 7 will premiere later than usual, in mid-2017. Unlike the previous seasons, the seventh season will consist of only seven episodes and as far as the recent reports are concerned, a lot can happen in those seven episodes. Like the death of the eldest daughter in the Stark family.

Ever since the Game of Thrones Season 6 finale episode aired on HBO, viewers have speculated about Sansa Stark’s fate. Sophie Turner, the 20-year-old British actress who plays Sansa, recently revealed the fate of her character in the coming season.

Variety reported that in the upcoming season of GoT, there are going to a few ways for Sansa to die.

“I actually don’t know because of the way last season left off. There are so many options,” she teased. “She could run with Littlefinger and become a villain and sadistic. Or she could also team up with her brother Jon.”

At the same time, Sophie stated that if her character is going to die in the upcoming season, which she probably is, then she wants an entire episode just dedicated to that, and it should be the season’s last episode.

“A long, slow episode-lasting death, where it’s just one long scene of my death and no one else,” she joked. “And it’s going to be the last episode of the last season.”

Does this mean that in the upcoming season, fans are going to lose the eldest Stark daughter?

At the same time, Kit Harington teased that his character is not going to die anytime soon and he is among the safest characters in the epic fantasy drama series.

During his recent interview with the Wrap, Kit explained why Jon Snow was among the safest characters during Season 6.

“Here’s the thing: I feel like one of the safest people on Thrones now,” he said. “Maybe I shouldn’t say that. He could die next season, but I felt very safe this season. Because if I come back to life in episode two, it would be awful storytelling if you kill me in episode four. So I felt a bit cocky this season.”

When asked about his character’s feelings as to when he will find out his true parentage, Kit teased that his character does not think too much about his lineage, but when he gets to know about his real father and mother, it will be a really “fascinating moment to play.”

Well, fans will just hope that they get to see Kit Harington playing the role of Jon Snow till the series’ finale.

In other news, Sophie recently talked about her true feelings for the Republican Party nominee for President of the United States, Donald Trump. During Variety’s Power of Young Hollywood event, when she was asked what she would do if she had unlimited power, similar to her character from the X-Men film franchise, the actress stated that at this moment the world needs fixing and the first thing she would do is to remove Trump from this country and build a wall around him so “he couldn’t escape.”

“I mean, there’re so many negative things that are happening. I would kind of restart the whole world and build a new one, Noah’s Ark style,” she added.

Game of Thrones Season 7 has no official air date as for now. Millions of fans are eagerly waiting to see the anticipated episode that will show what Sophie Turner’s character, Sansa Stark, will do to save the North.

Is she going to follow Littlefinger’s plan, or she is going to stay loyal to her brother, Jon Snow, who is now a King of the North? Tell us in the comments.
