Atlantic City, NJ – Snooki’s name is just about everywhere these days, so it only makes sense that she gets a law named after her, right?

A reality TV law in New Jersey may become reality itself soon as a lawmaker there wants towns in the state to have a say in the filming of shows within their boundaries “before a Situation develops,” according to MSN. On Monday, Ocean County Republican Assemblyman Ronald Dancer introduced the “Snookiville Law,” which would allow towns to impose their own conditions when reality shows film, including a requirement for TV crews to pay for additional police officer coverage at filming sites to ensure safety.

The law is obviously named for Jersey Shore’s Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, whose reality TV show recently ended its three-year run in Seaside Heights.

Extra law enforcement coverage may seem extreme, but shows like Shore are “notorious for leaving in its wake a vomitage of boozy brawls, sloshed-up antics and jarring glimpses of Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino’s abs that pose a health hazard to hapless eyes everywhere,” jokes E! Online.

Indeed, police officers make a “cameo” every other episode thanks to drunken scuffles and public intoxication between the show’s cast and their ever-changing entourage. Meanwhile, Snooki and JWoww’s spin-off show, which shoots in Manchester, is relatively subdued. Law enforcement haven’t reported any trouble from the guidettes. Must be all of the “gorillas” and “juice-heads” they run with.

No word yet on whether the law was partially inspired by the first season incident when Snooki was famously socked in the face by a shot-stealing gym teacher.
