Khloe Kardashian Opens Up About Skin Cancer: ‘I Had 8 Inches Of Skin Removed’

Khloe Kardashian revealed she had skin cancer years ago in her latest blog post.

Opening up to fans in her post titled “My Skin Cancer Scare” on KhloeWithAK, Khloe Kardashian revealed she often gets her skin checked after discovering skin cancer on her back and undergoing a painful procedure.

“I’m writing this post with the hope that my story can get some of you in to see your doctor if you notice something wrong with your skin,” Khloe Kardashian wrote in her post, according to an August 16 report by Gossip Cop. “I’ve gone through this process a couple of times and I am so grateful that most moles have not been cancerous. However, there was one mole I had on my back that was skin cancer.”

“I had 8 inches of skin removed,” Kardashian continued.

“It was definitely painful because it was a lot of skin, but most of the time, the removals haven’t been that bad… I haven’t had a problem in years, but wanted to share my experience with you so that if you notice something doesn’t look right, you will take action and take care of your health!”

Khloe Kardashian’s skin cancer reveal comes on the heels of Kardashian’s latest divorce filing against husband Lamar Odom, who has battled rumors of a possible relapse for the past several months.

“This was always the plan. The divorce has never been officially off. [Khloe Kardashian] was waiting for the timing to be right,” a source told People Magazine of her May filing. “She was loyal for a long time and taking care of him, but she’s not a babysitter and needs to move on with her life.”

When Lamar Odom suffered a drug overdose in October of last year, Khloe Kardashian and her family, including mom Kris Jenner and sister Kim Kardashian, immediately boarded a private plane and flew to be by his side as death rumors swirled. Then, after Odom was transferred to a hospital in Los Angeles after waking up from a coma, Khloe Kardashian continued to stay close and visited him frequently during the holiday season.

“She’s honestly fine and it’s more of a formality at this point,” the source explained. “She’s there for him and they’re in regular contact and she wishes him well. She’ll always be there for him. But as far as their marriage is concerned, that’s over and has been for quite some time. It was time to make it official.”

Once Khloe Kardashian’s husband was released from the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles in January, she rented the former NBA player a home in Calabasas so he could be close to her and her family and shortly thereafter, the couple began filming scenes for Keeping Up With the Kardashians Season 12.

During episodes of the show, Khloe Kardashian was seen considering a reunion with Odom, and the pair even spoke of the possibility of a second wedding. However, after Odom was rumored to be drinking again and possibly using drugs over the spring, the on-and-off couple parted ways for good, and now they appear to be completely estranged as she continues to film in Los Angeles following his relocation to New York.
