Does Kelly Dodd Have Regrets About Her ‘RHOC’ Behavior At The Sushi Party?

Kelly Dodd surprised everyone on last night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County when she decided to call Shannon Beador a horrible word during a verbal fight. Kelly is convinced that Shannon set her up during her 1970’s party when some of Beador’s friends ended up calling Dodd a prostitute. While they didn’t use the word “prostitute,” they did hint that she was doing sexual favors for money. It is unknown whether they were referring to Dodd in her marriage or something she used to do.

According to a new Bravo report, Kelly Dodd is now revealing why she flipped out on Shannon during Tamra Judge’s party for Meghan King Edmonds. Dodd reveals that she was just very angry to learn that people were calling her a prostitute. She was very upset with the comment because she was scared that her daughter, Jolie, may hear about it.

“It got me really angry,” Kelly Dodd has revealed about the prostitute comment, according to Bravo, adding, “I’m thinking to myself, ‘OK, how could I ever be a prostitute? I got married when I was 25 to my first husband. I went to college. I worked for Gannett newspapers. Like, how could this ever happen to me, because I’ve worked my whole life and had a professional job. And how could this ever happen for someone to say something so cruel when I have a daughter out there, and it’s vicious lies, and my integrity is getting ruined.”

Kelly is new to the group, so people didn’t really know how to handle her behavior. They didn’t quite understand why she was so aggressive and angry. But as Dodd explains, she was scared about her daughter learning of these rumors. She got so angry that Meghan King Edmonds was shocked at her behavior. This was the second time that Dodd got so upset, and Meghan started seeing it as a pattern, not as a single event.

“I really got angry because I thought about my daughter and if my daughter hears something so disgusting like that. And I was so upset [about] Shannon bringing this woman to this party that I just [blew] a gasket. I just [blew] a gasket,” Dodd continues in her interview with Bravo.

So, does Dodd regret her behavior since she completely flipped out? Well, it sounds like she does regret reacting the way she did. While Kelly still believes it was wrong for Shannon’s friend to say what she said, it certainly didn’t justify her response.

“Yes, of course. In hindsight, I’m like, ‘Why did I say that?’ I shouldn’t have said something like that. It makes me look bad,” Kelly Dodd revealed about her behavior, according to Bravo, adding, “But I said it out of anger and frustration and it was the first thing that comes out of my mouth, and I didn’t think first before saying it, so I regret saying that to her, yes.”

Several of the Real Housewives of Orange County stars were shocked that Kelly would react the way she did. Heather Dubrow walked out of the dinner party, telling Tamra Judge that she does not want to be around Dodd anymore. Shannon also went home before the party ended because she was shocked that Dodd would say and do what she did. Meghan King Edmonds was questioning her friendship with Kelly because she had never seen that side of her. It will be interesting to see how this season unfolds, especially since Radar Online already revealed her past bully behavior.
