A$AP Rocky’s Step-Mom Slams Kendall Jenner: ‘He Can Do So Much Better’

It doesn’t look like A$AP Rocky’s step-mom isn’t too happy about his new relationship with Kendall Jenner. She spoke out in a recent interview to warn him and his fans about the dangerous influence of the Kardashian-Jenner brand.

According to a report via the Daily Mail, A$AP Rocky’s step-mom, Kari Mayers, went on a rant in her response to the Kendall Jenner dating rumors. Everyone knows by now that the Kardashian and Jenner sisters have been blamed for the controversies that their significant others have been through. They even talked about the “Kardashian curse” on a past episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

Now, it looks like Kari Mayers believes that curse. She is claiming that both the Kardashian and Jenner sisters are not good for any man, not even her own son. The rapper, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, has been reported to be dating Kendall Jenner for the past few months. But, his mom is saying, “He can do so much better.”

In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, Kari Mayers revealed why the 20-year-old supermodel is not good enough for her son. She also revealed the secret that her family has been through that pushed her 27-year-old son into a successful rapping career.

“I’ve heard all about him dating Kendall and I don’t like it. Everything I hear about the Kardashians makes me think they are a bad family for Rakim to be involved with,” the 38-year-old said. “They are just not the kind of people I’d like to see him hanging around with. I don’t want him being dragged into that circus, he is too good for that and can do so much better.”

But, she had nothing but great things to say about his former girlfriends, Iggy Azalea and Chanel Iman.

“We met both his ex-girlfriends, Chanel and Iggy. We were sad when he ended it with Iggy as she was such a lovely girl, and so down to earth.”

Kari is not too concerned about his recent relationship with Kendall, though. She believes that it won’t last since he loves having his pick of women, cites celebrity blogger Perez Hilton.

“He is just like his dad, who was a major player and had 12 kids in total by four different women. He was a womanizer and I think Rakim is too. Rakim is loving his life right now and doing his thing and I can’t see that changing any time soon, not even for a Kardashian.”

She also touched on how both his brother’s and father’s death shaped him up for his new career. Rakim’s brother, Ricky, was killed in a shooting in 2002 and his dad, Adrian, died on Christmas Eve 2012 from pneumonia. Both of his losses pushed him to become the rap artist he is today.

“I think losing his dad and his brother really pushed him to succeed. From a young age Rakim was always rapping and all of us knew he would be a star, he was just so, so talented. But it was his dad who would really encourage him, telling him he could be famous. So I think when Adrian died, Rakim was determined to make his dad proud. And he has done exactly that.”

Last week, it was confirmed that Kendall Jenner and A$AP Rocky are “full-on” dating. Sources told Us Weekly that they have been keeping their relationship low-key for the past few months. Kendall and A$AP were spotted having a dinner date at L’Avenue in Paris back in June and again at Kylie Jenner’s 19th birthday party earlier this month.

Shortly after that report dropped, Kendall was spotted with rapper Tyler The Creator on a dinner date at the Grove in Los Angeles on Saturday, Aug. 13. Meanwhile, a source told People that Kendall is not even ready to settle down with A$AP Rocky, which might make his step-mom happy to hear. Other sources said that Kendall and Tyler are just really good friends, and have been for a while now. She has been hooking up with everyone from basketball player Jordan Clarkson to 1D member Harry Styles.
