Heatley still wants out of Ottawa

On July 9th Ottawa Senators Forward, Dany Healtey demanded a trade. He was unhappywith the situation in Ottawa and was looking to go to a team that thought more of him and his talents. Senators GM Bryan Murray was all set to give the star what he wanted and trade him to the Edmonton Oilers. Heatly killed that deal, saying today that he wants multiple options of teams to go too.

Sorry Dany, but that isn’t exactly how this works. Since Heatlysigned a contract with the Senators it is up to them on how they should proceed. In no way should the Senators front office have to work multiple deal just to make Heatley feel more comfortable.

To be a little more blunt Heatley is your typical spoiled athlete who really needs a wake up call. years before Michael Vick fought his dogs, and Donte Stallworthran over a guy with his car, Heatley was involved in a car accident that claimed the life of one of his teammates. Maybe involved isn’t a strong enough word, Heatley was directly responsible for the death of his friend and teammate, Dan Snyder.

After killing one of the Thrashers players, Heatley then demanded a trade out of Atlanta who had drafted him in the 2000 NHL draft. Maybe just maybe instead of demanding multiple trade options, Heatley should stop and thank whomever he still has his freedom.
