Kendall Jenner And Kylie Jenner No Longer Close, Growing Apart?

Kendall Jenner wants to make it clear that she and Kylie Jenner are nothing alike. Even though Kendall attended Kylie’s 19th birthday party last week, she claims that the two are not as close as you may think.

According a report cited by Australian Cosmopolitan, Kendall Jenner, 20, opened up about her relationship with her younger sister, Kylie Jenner. Despite their seemingly close-knit bond on past episodes of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kendall and Kylie don’t hang out as much due to their hectic schedules. Kendall is busy becoming a supermodel and owning every runway in the world, while Kylie is working on expanding her beauty empire.

Kendall took to her website and app to admit to her fans that she’s not as close with her little sis as her fans would assume.

“We’ve definitely changed a ton and don’t hang out as much as we used to,” she said.

Despite their busy schedules, they tried to develop a deep bond. Kendall denies they have grown apart and says that it’s actually brought them closer together.

“Somehow, that’s helped us grow to be closer. It’s almost a joke now because we’ve become SUCH polar opposites, but still have so much fun together.”

Kendall ended her post by saying, “I love Kylie soooooo much, even though she drives me crazy!”

The two sisters do make an effort to see each other. As previously mentioned, Kendall joined Kylie Jenner on her wild 19th birthday party to Turks and Caicos last week. Kendall and Kylie were photographed wearing a variety of barely-there bikinis and posing with their good friends, Hailey Baldwin and Bella Hadid. They took to their respective Instagram accounts to post some of the photos from their beach getaway.

It’s clear that Kendall and Kylie are complete opposites. Kendall has mentioned in a wide variety of interviews that she’s more of a tomboy while Kylie is a girly-girl who loves to dress up, take selfies, and experiment with different styles. The strain in the sister’s relationship has also been documented on a previous episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

According to a report via E! News, Kendall slammed her little sis in a December 2015 episode that showed the family on their vacation to St. Barts. Just about everyone was fighting on that vacation, including Kendall and Kylie Jenner. She was upset at her sister for bringing along her boyfriend on their family vacation.

So, she decided to throw some major shade. Kendall went to St. Barts with Khloe, Kim, Kourtney, and Kris. Kendall decided to warn Kylie and let her know that the landing can be a little rough on the island.

“It’s fine, they do it every day,” Kendall told Kylie on the phone. “It’s like how they land their plans here, they’re famous for it but it’s fine. They’ve never had an accident where anyone’s ever been hurt. It’s literally a 10 minute flight and the process is two minutes long, you’ll be fine. Hello?”

Kylie abruptly hangs up and Kendall tries to call her back but gets her voicemail.

“I hate her so much sometimes,” she tells Kourtney.

Then, when Kendall’s September 2016 Vogue cover was unveiled last week, rumors swirled that Kylie Jenner was jealous. According to celebrity gossip blog Hollywood Life, an insider revealed that Kylie didn’t like being outshined during her birthday week.

“Kylie is happy for Kendall but that doesn’t mean there isn’t jealousy, there’s always going to be competition. Kylie would love nothing more than to have her own cover of Vogue, so it’s tough that her birthday celebration has turned into being all about Kendall and her cover, it totally stole the spotlight from her.”

Kendall was obviously proud of her achievement on August 11 and wanted to share it with her friends on Instagram. But the cover couldn’t have come at a worse time for Kylie, who usually gets overshadowed by her older sister. Ironically, Kendall said in her Vogue cover story that she often gets jealous of Kylie and all the friends she has. Nothing like a little sisterly competition to get you through the day.
