‘Game of Thrones’ Releases New Campaign Videos: Who Would You Vote For To Sit On The Iron Throne? [Watch]

HBO is getting in the mood for the political season.

The network just released new campaign videos for Game of Thrones, asking fans to cast their vote for who should rule Westeros in the coming season.

According to Comic Book, there are four tickets fans can vote for; Jon Snow and Lyanna Mormont, Cersei Lannister and Qyburn, Daenerys Targaryen and Tyrion Lannister, or Petyr Baelish and Sansa Stark.

The videos include campaign slogans and make a case for why fans should vote for each team.

Snow and Mormont are looking to “Serve the People” and want everyone to “Trust Each Other.” Baelish and Stark promote their ability to play “The Game” and believe “Chaos is a Ladder.”

Daenerys and Tyrion, meanwhile, have plans to “Break the Wheel,” while Cersei and Qyburn are relying on the old saying that “Power is Power” and are ready for “The Rains of Castamere.”

According to Movie Pilot, each ticket has their strengths and weakness when it comes to domestic and foreign policies.

For Cersei, she hasn’t had the best run when it comes to ruling Westeros.

Not only is the throne facing crippling debt with the Iron Bank, but Cersei was also responsible for the rise of the Faith Militant, which didn’t exactly end well.

Cersei’s biggest strength is her name and ability to gain the support of other houses. However, after eliminating her rivals, Cersei might have a harder time with diplomacy than in the past.

When it comes to economic policy, Baelish is the strongest in the GOT party.

Not only did he amass a fortune by establishing brothels throughout Westeros, but he actually understands how economies work. He would definitely be the best fit to get the throne a better deal with the Iron Bank.

The only downside for Baelish is that nobody trusts him. He is known for switching allegiances on a moment’s notice on Game of Thrones, which doesn’t exactly bode well for diplomacy.

Snow, meanwhile, would be a great candidate for the people. Not only did he allow the Free Folk to travel south of the wall, but he has gained a loyal following with the people of the North.

Snow also has a legitimate claim to the throne now that we know he is a Targaryen.

Snow’s only weakness is his inexperience in ruling a country and lack of business expertise. He also isn’t the most sociable person in Westeros, although his running mate will certainly help on that end.

Lastly, it’s hard to vote against Dany, especially when she has a massive army and three dragons at her side. Not to mention the support of Tyrion Lannister.

Dany has ended slavery wherever she’s gone and is determined to change Westeros forever, which definitely makes her someone the common people can rally around.

Her biggest downfalls are her inexperience in running an economy and lack of support in Westeros.

Of course, that might all change once Dany and her army land finally cross the ocean and arrive in Westeros.

Meanwhile, the campaign videos are playing off the current political race in the U.S. that pits Donald Trump against Hillary Clinton.

The ads are also promoting the November 16 release of Season 6 of Game of Thrones.

According to Entertainment Weekly, fans have until September 1 to vote for their favorite ticket by going to The GOT Party.

So far, close to 1.5 million votes have already been cast, and Baelish has a slight lead over Snow and Daenerys.

Sadly, Cersei has only managed to get a lowly one percent of the vote.

At the same time, Watchers on the Wall reports that the GOT Campaign Facebook page already has 19 million likes.

Fans can vote on a daily basis, so make you sure you cast plenty of votes before the deadline.
