Now that Chevy Chase’s feud with former Community boss Dan Harmon is over following the latter’s dismissal from the show he helped to create, he needs a new punching bag. Who better than the “god of comedy” himself, Louis C.K.? His meteoric rise over the past several years, despite decades in “the biz,” has proven Louis as one of the greats, but Chase is not amused.

Louis C.K. took home a writing Emmy Sunday night for his FX show Louie which has consistently brought the comic universal critical praise. Ricky Gervais, who presented the award, called C.K. “the world’s second best comedian” (after himself) and his fan base just continues to grow. Veteran comic and actor Chevy Chase just isn’t among them.

“Yes, I’ve seen Louis C.K.,” Chase says in an interview with Huffpo UK. “I wouldn’t in any way make a degrading remark about Louis C.K., but the question is do I think anyone is funny? And the answer is not too many people. He might fit right in there.”

Chase famously butted heads with former Community creator Dan Harmon. Chase, who plays Pierce Hawthorne on the cult-hit, said, Chase says:

“The hours are hideous, and it’s still a sitcom on television, which is probably the lowest form of television. That’s my feeling about it. I think the reason I have stuck around is because I love these kids, the cast — they are very good,” said Chase, adding, “It’s not like I am working with the great innovators of all time.”

The 68-year-old also confessed that he regrets passing on several film roles throughout his career.

“I turned down Forrest Gump, I turned down American Gigolo, there are many films — like Ghostbusters — that I turned down … the first one I did was Foul Play with Goldie Hawn, but I turned down Animal House — I turned that down,” he says. “So all those I regret only because they made huge amounts of money and I would be very wealthy, but I don’t regret working with Goldie, I don’t regret the projects that I did do.”
