Natalie Portman has gone blonde.

The beautiful brunette actress dyed her hair blonde this week for her new movie. Portman didn’t give any details about the character or the movie but made it clear that the hair color was a career choice.

US Magazine reports that the Black Swan actress showed off her new blonde locks at the Van Cleef & Arpels Dinner for L.A. Dance Project over the weekend.

Tracey Cunningham, the stylist behind Portman’s hair blonde, said:

“Natalie makes a beautiful blonde! She needed to make the change for an upcoming movie role, and using Redken’s Blonde Dimensions we achieved a gorgeous, multi-dimensional golden blonde.”

Today points out that this isn’t the first time Portman has gone blonde for a movie. In Closer, Portman seduces Jude Law with golden locks. The actress used a wig for that movie. The actress made an even bolder hair choice for her role in V For Vendetta. Portman shaved her head for the Wachowski brothers movie.

Portman, who recently got married, said that she was taking a little time off to spend more time with her family. But it doesn’t look like the actress is getting  back to work. According to IMDB, Portman has five movies scheduled over the next two years.
