Chloe Moretz Deletes ‘Topless’ Photo After Kim Kardashian’s Fans Accuse Her Of Hypocrisy
Chloe Moretz had to take down her “topless” photograph after it sparked criticisms among Kim Kardashian’s followers. The 19-year-old recently shared a photo of herself taken by her beau Brooklyn Beckham during a trip to the beach. While the photo only showed her back, her bikini tie was nowhere to be seen which made some assume that she was topless.
It can be remembered that the 5th Wave actress previously reacted to Kardashian’s nude photo. “I truly hope you realise how important setting goals are for young women, teaching them we have so much more to offer than just our bodies,” her tweet to Kanye West’s wife read.
Some were quick to re-post Moretz’s comment on the If I Stay star’s Instagram page. They accused her of not preaching what she said. Nonetheless, many defended Moretz and claimed that nothing’s wrong with her photo.
In her interview with Glamour magazine, Moretz said that she didn’t mean to “slut-shame” Kardashian. The Carrie star reacted that way becauase she didn’t want young girls to feel that they should post revealing photos to gain “likes” from people.
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star retaliated by tweeting, “Let’s all welcome @ChloeGMoretz to twitter since no one knows who she is….”
Moretz said she started laughing upon reading the tweet, but it was her mother who got hurt.
“My mom took the most offense to it because it was girl-on-girl hate and Kim didn’t come back with an educated response on body confidence. It was aggressive, and also it was incorrect. I don’t have 45 million followers or a TV show that follows my life. But people know who I am. I pride myself on having opinions, and I don’t express them in snarky ways toward people.”
An insider recently told Hollywood Life that David and Victoria Beckham’s eldest only took the beach photo of his lady love because he was enamored by her natural charm.
“It was Brooklyn’s idea to take that picture of Chloe’s bare back on the beach. He absolutely loves her natural beauty and thought the simple setting in nature was just perfect and really artistic. Brooklyn admires how confident and beautiful Chloe is without even trying, and was able to capture all this in the photo. It also makes him feel proud that she felt comfortable enough to share it on Instagram.”
Chloe’s supporters are delighted that she appears happy with her relationship. Not everyone knows that the Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising actress has a secret pain when it comes to her father.
Dr. McCoy Moretz left his family when Chloe was only twelve. In the same interview with Glamour, she revealed that her parents’ divorce gave her post-traumatic stress disorder.
Despite the ordeal, she’s grateful that her four older brothers, Brandon, Colin, Trevor, and Ethan never made her feel alone.
“It was a pretty bad experience. It could have rocked our family and messed us up, but it actually made us a lot tighter. My brothers bumped up into the roles of fathers and kept me in a bubble where I could live in a world that wasn’t jaded and ruined.”
Moretz added that she isn’t ready to patch things up with his plastic surgeon father.
“I don’t think I will truly find a way to forgive [him]. The things that he did are unforgivable. My forgiveness is that I’m living my life.”
Dr. Moretz is now living with Paris Hilton’s aunt, Jo-Ann. They have been photographed several times attending public events.
