Kylie Jenner & Kendall Jenner Feud: Kylie ‘Jealous’ Kendall’s ‘Vogue’ Cover Stole Her Spotlight
Kylie Jenner is allegedly “jealous” of sister Kendall Jenner and her recent Vogue magazine cover.
According to reports, Kylie is allegedly “jealous” of her older sister because she believes that the big unveil of Kendall’s September 2016 Vogue magazine cover on August 11 totally overshadowed celebrations for her 19th birthday.
“Kylie is happy for Kendall but that doesn’t mean there isn’t jealousy,” a source recently told Hollywood Life of how Jenner really feels about her older sister’s Vogue cover, admitting that “there’s always going to be competition” between the sisters.
“Kylie would love nothing more than to have her own cover of Vogue,” the insider continued of Kylie’s alleged jealousy, “so it’s tough that her birthday celebration has turned into being all about Kendall and her cover, it totally stole the spotlight from her.”
There’s no doubt that the Jenner and Kardashian family made a pretty big deal out of Kendall’s big Vogue cover, taking to social media to praise the model for her big achievement.
“Yesss @kendalljenner True fan girl moment seeing my sister achieve her goals to the highest!!!” Kim Kardashian wrote alongside a snap of Kendall’s cover on Instagram. “Get it baby girl!!!!!”
Kourtney Kardashian added, “Shine baby sis…on the cover of September Vogue!! I’m so proud of you every day for living your dreams.”
“This is so huge!!! This is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen, but more importantly what an amazing, iconic moment in your career,” Kris Jenner wrote on Instagram. “I couldn’t be prouder of you, your work ethic, your professionalism, your stunning beauty, and most importantly your huge heart, you’re such an amazing girl and it’s your time to shine.”
“Congratulations to one of the sweetest, most humble and down-to-earth girls! Your passion, bravery and drive helped get you here!” Kardashian continued of Jenner. “I am so proud of you for reaching one of your so very high goals! It’s only the beginning! Your future has no limits! I have loved watching you sparkle! I can’t wait to see the fireworks you create! #GodIsGreat.”
Keeping Up with the Kardashians producer Ryan Seacrest also got in on the action amid the jealousy reports, posting a video of the famous family surprising Jenner with a party in celebration of her big Vogue achievement.
“Had to keep this surprise under wraps a long time, so excited to finally share with everyone,” Seacrest captioned the video, which featured appearances from Kylie, mom Kris and half-sisters Khloe, Kourtney and Kim.
“Congrats @kendalljenner on September @voguemagazine cover – don’t think we could ever forget about you,” added Ryan.
Notably, Kylie Jenner was the only member of the immediate Kardashian/Jenner clan not to post a gushing message for Kendall Jenner on social media.
But while Kylie is allegedly angry that Jenner’s achievement “overshadowed” her birthday, it sounds like the Jenner sisters’ alleged jealousy goes both ways.
Amid reports claiming that Kendall’s Vogue cover left Kylie feeling pretty “jealous” of her older sister, Jenner actually admitted inside the pages of the magazine that she feels jealous of Kylie.
“I remember crying in my bedroom about the fact that Kylie had so many friends and I didn’t,” Jenner admitted in the September 2016 issue of Vogue.
But if there really is a bitter jealous feud brewing between the Jenner sisters, they’re certainly not making it known on social media.
Kylie has posted a slew of snaps of herself and Kendall on vacation in Turks and Caicos in recent days, soaking up the sun on the beach in their bikinis.
“19 and 20” Jenner captioned a photo of herself and her sister on the beach on August 11, quickly followed by another shot of herself and Kendell on a yacht.
