Last night, Sofia Vergara and her Modern Family co-stars took the stage to accept the award for Best Comedy at the 2012 Emmy Awards. The beautiful Colombian actress followed her co-stars up to the stage in a beautiful turquoise gown. Moments before, however, the dress was tearing apart at the seems.

Vergara tweeted a photo of a wardrobe malfunction a few minutes before she won her award. The back of her dress popped open and revealed Vergara, her thong, and her backside curves.

It’s unclear when the incident happened, but Sofia’s “emergency team” was able to patch up the dress before she accepted her award.

Vergara writes on Twitter:

“20 min Modern Family won!! Dress malfuncion !!! Thank you emergency team!!! Yes!!!! This happend 20 min before we won!!!! Jajajajja. I luv my life!!!!

Vergara was up for an individual Emmy last night but lost out to her co-star Julie Bowden. Modern Family also took home Emmy Awards for Best Supporting Actor (Eric Stonestreet) and Best Director (Steven Levitan).
