Was Brandi Glanville Forced To Bring The Drama To ‘RHOBH’?

Brandi Glanville made a name for herself when she appeared on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for five seasons, but it wasn’t always a good name.

On the show, Brandi Glanville frequently feuded with her co-stars and got physical with them on a couple of occasions. However, according to Glanville, all of the drama may not have been her idea. Instead, she claims she “definitely” felt pressured to act a certain way on the reality series.

While making an appearance on a recent podcast, Brandi Glanville opened up about how her time on Famously Single differed from her time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

“We were [on Famously Single] to work on ourselves not to have drama,” Brandi Glanville explained during an appearance on Andy’s Girls, according to a report by All About the Real Housewives of August 10. “The drama did ensue, but it wasn’t like OK we’re all thinking of reasons to fight with one and another, and I think that sometimes on [The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills], not that the producers, the women worry about the show, and we try to figure out reasons to fight.”

According to Brandi Glanville, her time on the first couple of seasons of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was much different than her later seasons with the show.

“It’s easy when people are coming for you, but when everyone makes friends and is getting along, I think, we all get scared for our jobs or for the show,” Brandi Glanville explained.

Brandi Glanville has been fairly dramatic when it comes to her appearances on reality shows but during The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 5, she appeared to push the limit a bit too much and after a physical fight with both Kyle Richards and Lisa Vanderpump, she was demoted from her full-time position to a guest-starring role.

“I think [Bravo] recognized that I needed that time off because I was mentally drained,” Brandi Glanville explained of the demotion.

Following filming on Season 5, Brandi Glanville told producers she would be skipping filming on the reunion but after the network informed her that she would not be paid if she didn’t show up, she opted to participate. At the same time, she planned to be “real quiet and uninteresting so that I can get my check.”

“They obviously know I can’t do that,” she added.

While Brandi Glanville wasn’t featured in a full-time role during The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 6, she did appear on a couple of episodes alongside her former co-stars Yolanda Foster and Kim Richards. She also was featured in a special video at the Season 6 reunion.

“I got everything off my chest, and I got paid – so I was excited! We shot for hours – they only used like 3 minutes of it!” Brandi Glanville revealed of her segment.

“I wanted to have a say, but I didn’t want to sit and have the women come at me, and it be a firing squad. I told Kim not to go as well, but she didn’t listen,” Glanville continued of Richards, who also had a reduced role during Season 6. “I just felt like it’s such an easy way for them to go back and attack us when they should be going at each other.”
