Gwen Stefani Worried Blake Shelton Could ‘Get Flirty’ With Miley Cyrus On ‘The Voice’ [Report]

Gwen Stefani is allegedly worried that boyfriend Blake Shelton could “get flirty” with Miley Cyrus when the two appear alongside each other as coaches on Season 11 of The Voice.

While both are in relationships (Cyrus is famously back together and allegedly planning a wedding with Liam Hemsworth), Stefani knows that Miley is a notorious flirt and isn’t a fan of the idea of the singer getting close to Blake while she’s on the road for her “This Is What the Truth Feels Like Tour.”

“Blake [Shelton] is friendly to everyone, and Gwen wants to make sure that Miley doesn’t misinterpret that as something else,” a source recently alleged to Life & Style of Stefani’s concerns regarding what could go down on the Voice set, which is where Gwen first met Blake back in 2014.

“Gwen wants to make sure Miley stays in her lane and doesn’t get flirty with Blake,” the insider continued of Gwen, which comes just weeks after OK! Magazine claimed that Stefani was worried that being on the road for her tour, which will see her away until October, could prove to be too much for her romance with Shelton.

“Gwen is worried about the idea of spending so much time apart,” a source told the magazine at the time, just days before Stefani kicked off her first tour in almost a decade back in July.

The site also alleged before the “flirty” Miley rumors began to swirl that Stefani was afraid spending so much time away from Shelton was “going to blow up their romance,” which first began after both split with their respective spouses, Miranda Lambert and Gavin Rossdale, last year.

Stefani’s alleged worries also come just days after it was revealed that Cyrus already has a nickname for Shelton after the new coaching line-up got together to film Season 11’s audition shows earlier this year.

Alicia Keys recently spoke about joining the show with Cyrus in an interview with Access Hollywood, joking that the two newbies actually refer to Blake and Adam as “elders” because they’re the only coaches to stick with the show since the very beginning.

But despite the rumors, if Gwen’s recent Instagram posts are anything to go by, she and Shelton haven’t actually been spending too much time apart while she’s touring.

Gwen Stefani has been posting a slew of snaps from the road in recent weeks, most recently giving fans a look at herself and Blake on stage after he joined Gwen at one of her most recent tour stops to perform their duet, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart.”

But while Stefani has been flirty and showing off her love for Blake on social media, Miley has been using social media to tease her upcoming role on The Voice. Cyrus posted the official artwork for her upcoming gig, which will see her sit alongside Shelton, Keys and Adam Levine, when Season 11 of NBC’s singing show kicks off next month.

“Yesssssssss!!! #TheVoice kicks off September 19 on NBC,” Cyrus captioned the photo uploaded on August 1.

Miley’s big tease notably came just days before the Gwen reports hit the web as she took to social media to post a number of snaps with Shelton.

It’s not clear if Stefani’s social media gushes are her way of making it known that Blake is very much her man prior to the Season 11 premiere of The Voice, though Life & Style recently claimed that showing off her love for her boyfriend is Stefani’s way of feeling more comfortable in their relationship.

The site’s Stefani insider recently claimed that “Gwen feels more secure when Blake makes public proclamations about their relationship,” but the source alleged that Shelton has asked her to stop making their relationship so public for fear that it could cheapen their love.

“He’s asked Gwen to stop posting so many selfies of them,” a source claimed of Blake’s big social media request for Gwen. “He just wants to keep their special moments private.”
