Selena Gomez Shares Weight Loss Diet, Fitness: Singer Channels Inner Kardashian In Shockingly Sheer Style


Selena Gomez is stepping up her style game and flaunting her weight loss. And when it comes to showing off your body while celebrating your inner fashionista, who better to channel than Khloe and Kim Kardashian, both famed for recently flaunting their weight loss in stylish bodysuits?

That’s how it looked when Gomez turned heads by choosing an ultra-sheer bodysuit to don. The “Hands to Myself” singer made a fashion statement by slipping into high-waisted jeans complemented with a sheer ribbed black bodysuit. Add a black beanie to match, and Selena just took her style game to a new level, noted Yahoo TV.

Bodysuit Beauty

So what’s the skinny on that bodysuit style? It turns out that what goes around comes around, and that’s true of ’90s fashion trends, with bodysuits qualifying as a serious style passion for both Kim and Khloe. Gomez made it clear that she knows how to rock that trend just as well as any Kardashian by choosing a ribbed style that showed off her ultra-sleek physique.

But Selena isn’t just competing with (and possibly outshining) the Keeping Up with the Kardashians clan. She also had a sunglasses showdown with her former boyfriend Justin Bieber, pointed out Hollywood Life.

Both singers opted for red-hot-tinted lenses, and Gomez flattered her sweet face with a round-shaped frame. Just as she went with the throwback bodysuit style, Selena went retro with her sunglasses by showcasing her cheek bones in retro Vintage Caviar shades.

But it wasn’t just Gomez who nailed it. The Biebs was seen rocking an almost identical look, adding a hood to give off bad boy vibes.

However, it’s Selena who is getting the style wows right now, and her recent weight loss is adding to her ability to play the fashion game to the hilt.

Fitness Phenom

Slipping into a bodysuit takes more than a desire to be a fashionista, however. It also requires a certain level of fitness to pull it off, and Gomez recently upped her fitness level with an intense diet and exercise plan prior to her “Revival Tour,” reported Elle.

“I’ve never really had a personal trainer, but I started working with Amy [Rosoff Davis] last year. She’s incredible. I met her at Ballet Bodies in L.A., and we have a really fun friendship,” shared the singer.

When it comes to working out, variety is the name of Selena’s fitness game. Rehearsing for her tour took time, but the singer kept herself in shape and up to speed with a blend of SoulCycle, Pilates, and “every form of yoga.” Incorporating all those different forms of exercise into her life fulfilled two goals: Gomez avoided feeling bored while enhancing her stamina.

“Basically, I wanted to mix things up because I get bored easily,” she admitted. “I just try to keep it fresh.”

Selena revealed that she is particularly fond of Pilates because of the results and peace that it provides.

“I love how Pilates makes me feel, like it opens me up.”

She also struggles with occasional breathing issues and contends that Pilates helps with that concern as well. Add that form of exercise to the cardiovascular workout she gets just from performing, and Gomez feels at the top of her exercise game.

“[Pilates is] peaceful and it helps me relax. And I’m doing two shows back to back, and that’s cardio in itself,” she pointed out.

Diet Dedication

One word when it comes to her diet: hydration. Selena shared that she keeps water everywhere in order to help her stay on point with her hydration levels.

“I always have water, tons of water.”

Walk into her bathroom and you’ll even find drinking water there to accentuate the importance of that beverage, she added.

“It’s even in my bathroom because I used to be so bad at drinking water and I want to stay hydrated,” she explained.

In addition, Gomez makes a point of juicing, and she even has developed a go-to diet recipe.

“I do two carrots, ginger, I do one piece of celery—I know, that’s lame, but one—and then half of a beet. Those are the things I always keep around,” added the dedicated dieter.
