Jules Wainstein Says ‘RHONY’ Taught Her Some Valuable Lessons After Affair

Jules Wainstein joined The Real Housewives of New York because she thought it would be fun to film a successful reality show with her friend, Dorinda Medley. Dorinda knew Jules prior to filming the show, but she may not have known what was going on behind closed doors.

Already a few episodes into the season, fans started questioning why Wainstein’s husband was always absent. He really seemed to know nothing about his wife. As Carole Radziwill pointed out, she was shocked to see him question whether his wife knew how to make coffee, even though they had been together for years. Jules later learned that Michael Wainstein was having an affair and is supposedly living with his mistress these days, who is married herself.

According to a new Bravo report, Jules Wainstein is now revealing that she feels she’s learned quite a bit about herself while filming The Real Housewives of New York. Of course, Jules learned quite a bit about her marriage, including the fact that her husband had been spending time with another woman, which could explain why he was never with his children and always running late to dinners with his wife. But Jules said she actually liked having The Real Housewives of New York in her life.

“I liked the reunion. Is that weird? I kind of enjoyed it,” Jules Wainstein revealed in an interview she recently did for The Real Housewives of New York alongside co-star Dorinda Medley. “I actually learned something really important. I’m more than just being a stay-at-home mom. I learned that I am capable, like, I started a business. I’m more than just being a wife. I mean, understatement of the millennium.”

While filming the show, Wainstein decided to pursue her own line of juices. It’s something she continues to work on, but it’s something she never pursued. Maybe she thought that she wasn’t capable of launching something on her own. During the show, Jules Wainstein told her husband that she may be making more money than him, and he looked shocked. What she didn’t know at the time was that he was already seeing someone else. According to Radar Online, Jules has been bashing her husband a bit, but one can imagine she feels betrayed.

While Wainstein was filming the show, she had to deal with other issues, as she didn’t know about her husband’s affair at the time. Instead, Jules felt that she had to justify her eating disorder to her Real Housewives of New York co-stars. It’s no secret that Jules doesn’t really like Bethenny Frankel and Carole Radziwill, as she feels they have been too judgmental of her eating disorder struggles.

“I just had enough. I’m open about my eating disorder but not when people talk about it behind my back in a nasty way. I didn’t make it the elephant in the room; they did,” Wainstein explains in the interview, according to Bravo. “When you’re whispering behind my back, when you’re mocking me, when you’re asking me how much I weigh before the pizza arrives, it’s gonna make any normal person feel uncomfortable.”

Both Bethenny and Carole were shocked when Jules Wainstein decided to bake cutlery and a measuring cup into her calzone during a pizza night out with the ladies. While Jules saw it as a joke, the ladies saw it as her sabotaging the food so she didn’t have to eat it.

“Do you know that I left that pizza place thinking like, ‘Oh, no big deal?'” Wainstein explains, according to Bravo. “I just wanted to have fun. I never thought that scene was gonna make me look like a crazy lunatic. Holy guacamole, I look insane.”
