Selena Gomez Headed For A Breakdown After Cryptic Instagram Post

Selena Gomez may seem like she has it together right now. She’s been performing tirelessly on her “Revival Tour” and has just released her accompanying fashion line, in collaboration with Sami Miro Vintage. She even hinted to fans that she’s working on her new album. But it seems like even Selena is having a hard time coping with fame and her music career.

The rumor mill believes that the 24-year-old singer may be headed for a breakdown after she posted a cryptic message on Instagram. An alleged friend of Gomez’s spoke to Life & Style Magazine about the pop star’s struggles.

“She has been having breakdowns and is rethinking her entire music career and life path right now.”

Meanwhile, another source claims that Selena “is in a very, very bad place mentally” and that she may need help. But instead of helping Selena, they keep talking about her supposed private struggles to the media outlet.

“She’s totally spiraling downwards. She’s been so unhappy and has been drinking and partying too much to cope,” the questionable friend said.

The friend added that Gomez has mentioned that she’s been feeling “overwhelmed” and “exhausted” throughout most of her tour. She’s even asked her team to either do away with certain dates or to quit the whole tour altogether. Gomez supposedly started showing signs of her breakdown during a concert in Indonesia during the weekend of July 23, according to the Hollywood Gossip.

Around her birthday, she broke down into tears on stage. Before her performance of “Kill ‘Em With Kindness,” Selena got candid with her adoring fans.

“The next song before I go home, is a song that’s so important to me, because I get really frustrated. I get stupid sometimes. I say things that I don’t mean, or that come out wrong, just because I care so badly. Truth is the last thing we need right now is hate, in any form. But the thing is, at the end of the day, no war in anger has ever won.”

Selena was addressing her response to Taylor Swift’s feud with Kim Kardashian. Fans did not like it when she told her fans to focus on more important matters than a celebrity feud. Then, one of Selena’s fans asked her about her thoughts on the #BlackLivesMatter movement, to which she responded that she doesn’t care about choosing sides, as seen on Mic. But, during her speech, Selena vaguely told her fans that love is greater than hate and that love will win all.

“I do know that deep down in my heart, that I have to believe that we can love each other and always be kind, no matter what it takes. I believe that we can do that, no matter what.”

Later that night, Gomez took to Instagram to post a lengthy cryptic message, which she later deleted. She revealed to her millions of followers that she’s currently struggling with the current state of her music career.

“Tonight I feel extremely unauthentic, unconnected to both my myself and my music. [SIC] I’ve never really felt like my materials, wardrobe or a video could define me. I act on a moment and fear something that hasn’t happened,” she wrote, as quoted by iTechPost.

Then, Gomez got sensitive once again during her show in Jakarta, according to Movie News Guide. She shared her thoughts about being in love, being stupid, and being frustrated, all at once.

Selena hasn’t since addressed what was on her mind that night she broke down and wrote the cryptic Instagram post. Since then, rumors swirled that Selena was targeted after defending her friend Taylor amid her feud with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. However, sources close to the singer hinted that Selena’s struggles go deeper than we think.

It’s obvious that the starlet is going through something major right now. She’s at the point of her life where she’s realizing things and needs to rethink some areas of her life professionally and personally.

Selena Gomez is currently on tour until December 18. As for her new album, it’s rumored to come out later this year.
