Jill Duggar Takes Over Family News With Baby, Overshadows Jinger Duggar’s Engagement Update

Jill Duggar and her husband Derick Dillard are back in the states with their baby! With their return, they took over Duggar family news, with their mother fawning over baby Israel, who has spent most of his first year in El Salvador. Jill coming home has definitely overshadowed her sister Jinger Duggar’s engagement update.

Seeing how Duggars have grown up in the spotlight of 19 Kids and Counting, they seem to be eager to be center of family news update.

Back in the U.S. with steady Internet connection, Jill and Jessa: Counting On star went overboard with pictures of her family reuniting in the airport.

One close look at this picture tells the fans that this moment has been captured on camera to air in one of the upcoming episodes of Jill’s new show. Knowing how the Duggars have been through a lot of drama in the past year, this family reunion is a great image to show to their fans.

The mother of baby Israel also took photos with her friends and family, showing that she is eager more than ever to connect with people her age.

Living in Central America as missionaries must not have been very easy for Jill and Derick, as they have few friends and are far from the comforts of their homes. Despite the fact that she loves to post on Instagram, she has not done that very frequently during her time in El Salvador, showing signs that she might be a little homesick.

But in their family blog update, Jill and Derick made it very clear that their return home is only temporary.

“We are so excited to share that we will be returning in August for a short stateside term that will extend into the fall,” Jill and Derick wrote. “We are really looking forward to seeing our families after nearly 10 months on foreign soil.”

“Serving in Central America has been an amazing experience so far for both of us (and Israel!). We feel like we’ve made great advancements in just learning the culture and the language as well as building relationships with so many precious people […] We believe our labors until now will serve as a strong foundation for many years of wonderful ministry in the days to come.”

Jill had to celebrate baby Israel’s first birthday in a foreign country, The tone she used for her family blog was rather stilted and formal, which hinted at the fact that she is feeling emotional about the fact that she was so far from the rest of Duggars.

It’s hard to believe that our little man is already [1-year-old],” Jill and Derick wrote in their family blog. “Israel is getting so big and changing so quickly! We celebrated with some of our friends on Sunday and will have a piñata with the little children at church this evening.”

“On Sunday you got to try cake and ice cream for the first time with a bunch of your friends watching you (you smeared it all over your legs! lol),” they continued. “You are a handsome little fella, and here in Central America you stand out a little with your blonde hair and blue eyes. You are walking everywhere now.”

From Central America, she has been trying hard to stay on top of Duggar news, celebrating her sister Jinger’s engagement to Jeremy Vuolo via blog and Instagram. She also has been trying to take the lead in Jill and Jessa: Counting On, which is a spinoff from their previous family show 19 Kids and Counting.

But being so far away from everyone meant that it’s been hard for the young mom to stay connected.
