Karlie tweeted a photo to her Instagram praising Swift for celebrating her birthday halfway across the country. To many, the popular duo seem to be a match made in friendship heaven.

Taylor Swift and Karlie Kloss’s friendship began in February 2012, thanks to Vogue magazine. Swift had her first cover story with Vogue and spotted an image of Kloss on the wall of a designer’s studio. Taylor was was quoted as saying the following.
“I love Karlie Kloss…I want to bake cookies with her!”
After the Vogue issue hit newsstands, Kloss then tweeted to Swift: “Hey @taylorswift13 love the @voguemagazine cover! Your kitchen or mine? :).” Taylor tells Vogue, people had been telling her for years that she and Karlie needed to meet.

Taylor Swift And Karlie Kloss Meet For The First Time
In November 2013, one year after exchanging tweets, Taylor Swift performed at Victoria’s Secret fashion show. Once the show aired there was a ton of tweets between the new pals.
Kloss discusses meeting Swift for the first time.
“We met at the show, we never met before but we’re BFFs now. It’s nice to meet another American girl, we’re the same age and she’s so inspiring — she’s so talented and she’s true to who she is. She’s a cool girl and I’m glad she’s in the show this year, she rocked it.”

In February 2014, Karlie Kloss and Gigi Hadid took a photo at a pre-Oscars party held by Harvey Weinstein. Taylor Swift was included in the pic but, she photobombed it. Gigi Hadid tweeted the perfectly timed photobomb onto her Twitter account.

Taylor Swift and Karlie Kloss’ Epic Girls Road Trip
Taylor and Karlie decided to hit the road, driving along the California coast on a girls summer road trip. According to Elle magazine, Kloss and Swift explored Big Sur, took photos with an elephant seal and danced around in front of a sunset. The best friends documented each step of their trip and posted photos to their Instagram accounts.

In May 2014, Taylor Swift and Karlie Kloss post a photo of them getting dressed up for the Met Gala.
In July of 2014, the internet was ablaze with rumors that Swift and Kloss moved in with one another. Kloss’ rep issued the following statement.
“Karlie and Taylor do not live together and have no plans to live together. The Daily Mail did not verify the facts of the story prior to publishing it.”
It was during this time Karlie and Swift began hitting the gym together.
Taylor posted a photo to her Instagram account with an image of Karlie. The caption reads: “Happy 22nd birthday to @karliekloss, who is made out of 100% sunshine.” The two were also are photographed having lunch at Sarabeth’s in New York.
A few months later, Rolling Stone visits Taylor’s apartment, notices photos of Karlie on the wall and writes the following.
“‘This is where Karlie usually stays,’ [Taylor] says – meaning supermodel Karlie Kloss, one of her new BFFs, whom she met nine months ago at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show. There’s a basket of Kloss’s favorite Whole Foods treats next to the bed, and multiple photos of her on the walls.”

“When I did SNL they both came, and at the after-party it was so confusing to everyone, like these Amazon twins…Taylor’s so tall, Karlie’s even taller, and together it’s just surreal.”
