Kim Kardashian Talks Nude Selfies, Slams Feminist Label, Calls Kanye West Her ‘Baby’

Kim Kardashian knows how to make statements that attract attention, both positive and negative. Speaking at the BlogHer conference, Kardashian issued some startling announcements, ranging from her views on being labeled a feminist to the real reason she posts so many nude selfies.

As to why Kim refuses to accept the label of feminist, she clarified that she dislikes labels of any kind, noted U.S. News & World Report.

“I don’t think that I am,” Kardashian emphasized in response to being called a feminist. “I don’t like labels.”

Explaining that she plans her life in order to “do what makes me happy,” Kim insisted that she seeks to be “supportive” toward other women and hopes that they can feel confidence. As the mother of two children, wife of Kanye West, and star of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the 35-year-old offered up an unusual definition of what it means to be a feminist.

“I’m not the free-the-nipple type girl.”

Kardashian then explained what message she does try to spread using her social media platform.

“… Just, like, no hate. That’s my thing,” she added.

The discussion of feminism segued into an exploration of why Kim feels compelled to post those famous nude photos on social media, with conference co-founder Elisa Camahort guiding Kardashian.

“Because I feel good about myself! I mean after you have a kid, now if you have two kids, there is a feeling that,” she tried to explain about her post-pregnancy pounds-off pride.

“…. I mean I lost 70 pounds!”

Although Kardashian is happy to discuss her post-pregnancy weight loss success, she insisted that she seeks to keep certain topics off-limits. Consequently, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians queen feels fine about dishing on her life using the family’s reality TV show as well as social media and her app. But her husband and children belong in the steer-clear category, she clarified.

“[Kanye is] very private even though he’s in the business and I’m very open,” admitted Kim. “And so he’s really taught me how to become a little bit more private and I’ve taught him how to be a little bit more open and it really works for us.”

Following up on her pride in her 70-pound weight loss, Kardashian described her dedication to keeping off the pounds, according to the Mirror.

“Waking up at six in the morning, feeding one baby, running to go workout for an hour, coming back, feeding another baby — my husband,” she joked in referring to Kanye as her “baby.”

Kim continued to compare caring for West to caring for a third child.

“And then coming back and then my daughter wakes up, having to feed her. You know it’s like I have three people that I have to take care of,” she added.

During her discussion at the BlogHer conference, Kardashian also reflected on her wishes for her two “real” children, 8-month-old Saint and 3-year-old North, noted the Daily Mail.

In attempting to protect her youngsters from the public spotlight, however, Kim shared the speculation that she was faking the existence of her son.

“If you don’t share something [on social media], it’s like it doesn’t exist.”

Explaining why she made the decision not to post about her little boy on social media, Kardashian clarified that she wanted to avoid having him in the spotlight.

“I wasn’t posting about my son [born in December] because I want him to go to the park like every normal human being,” she asserted. “But some people thought I had a full fake baby because I wasn’t posting.”

In contrast to her nude selfies on social media and carefree candor on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim also revealed that she is extremely cautious about determining when and how to expose her children.

“I’m protective of my life with my kids,” she admitted. “You might see them on the show a bit, but not real stories.”
