Watch 2016 CPL Cricket Final Stream Live: Guyana Amazon Warriors Vs. Jamaica Tallawahs, Start Time, Preview

The 2016 Caribbean Premier League T20 cricket season comes to a dramatic close Sunday with the fourth CPL Final, a match that will stream live and will feature a rematch of the first-ever CPL cricket championship final, pitting the Guyana Amazon Warriors against slugging skipper Chris Gayle and his Jamaica Tallawahs.

The 2016 CPL Finals is also a matchup of the league’s top two teams this season. Guyana ended the league stage of the tournament, in which each side played 10 matches, at the top of the table with 14 points, winning seven and losing only three.

Jamaica placed just a single point behind in second place due to their involvement in the lone no-result match of the 34-game competition this year after rain washed out their showdown with the Barbados Tridents in Barbados on July 11.

Due to the no-result, the Tallawahs ended the season in second place at 6-3, for 13 points.

The CPL championship final on Sunday on the island of St. Kitts will mark the fourth time Guyana and Jamaica face off in the 2016 season. The two teams split their home-and-home series in the group stage, with the Amazon Warriors taking a seven-wicket win in Providence, Guyana, followed by the Tallawahs retaliating eight days later with a thumping five-wicket win, with 25 balls remaining, in Kingston, Jamaica.

Then the two teams faced off in the first qualifying match of the 2016 CPL playoffs in Basseterre, St. Kitts, as Sohail Tanvir and Chris Lynn posted 21 and 49 respectively, while Tanvir also took a pair of wickets.

To find out how to watch the 2016 CPL T20 cricket championship final match, Guyana Amazon Warriors vs. Jamaica Tallawahs, see the streaming links at the bottom of this article. First ball is set for 7 p.m. Atlantic Standard Time at Warner Park Sporting Complex in Basseterre, St. Kitts, on Sunday, August 7.

Because St. Kitts and Nevis does not observe Daylight Savings Time, the start time will also be 7 p.m. United States Eastern Daylight Time, 4 p.m. Pacific.

Australian Chris Lynn, who came in to replace New Zealand international Martin Guptill at the top of the Amazon Warriors order when Guptill was called to join his national Test team in Zimbabwe, will need a big performance if Guyana is to overcome the two-pronged batting attack of Gayle and his fellow Jamaican Andre “Superman” Russell.

Russell is coming off his first T20 century — a stunning even 100 from just 42 deliveries — that lifted Jamaica into the final with a 19-run victory over the Trinbago Knight Riders in the second elimination match on Friday.
