Blake Shelton And Gwen Stefani Ready To Wed? Sources Claim They Are ‘Expecting An Engagement’ Announcement Soon

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani‘s relationship is stronger than ever, but are they ready to tie the knot?

Rumors of a coming wedding have plagued the couple for months, with TMZ even reporting that they have even hired a wedding planner. Now it sounds like they are on the verge of finally announcing an engagement.

“They are not engaged yet,” an insider revealed to People. “Everyone is expecting it to happen at some point, though.”

The couple would have probably walked down the aisle already if it hadn’t been for their busy schedules.

While Shelton works on the new season of The Voice, Stefani is on her summer tour around the country.

“It seems the timing just hasn’t been right,” the insider continued. “But Gwen is very, very happy with Blake. She always acts giddy when she talks about Blake.”

“There are no immediate plans for their future, but it’s a serious relationship,” the source added.

With Stefani performing in venues across the country, Shelton is supporting her as much as he can.

“[Shelton is] in very close touch even when they’re both traveling,” the source said. “Blake has been very excited for her. He understands the pressure of a tour before it all kicks off, and he is Gwen’s biggest fan.”

Although they come from different backgrounds and seem like an unlikely pair, Shelton and Stefani have more in common than most fans think.

“Their relationship is almost too good to be true,” the source stated. “They are very much alike and really have a very special relationship. All the things that need to work out for two people to merge lives have worked out.”

Based on how good their relationship is going so far, it is only a matter of time before Shelton pops the big question.

Will Shelton and Stefani get engaged after her tour ends later this month?

While fans might have to wait a little longer than expected for a wedding, Blake Shelton surprised fans by joining Stefani on stage in Detroit.

According to E! Online, the pair performed their duet from Shelton’s album, titled “Go Ahead and Break My Heart.”

“This is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written or recorded,” Shelton told the audience. “The song couldn’t possibly be more honest. I’m honored to have written and to perform this song with the great Gwen Stefani. Respect.”

After the song, fans watched Shelton and Stefani embrace on a night that Stefani described as “really special.”

Of course, some fans suspected that Shelton would make a cameo during the concert. After all, Entertainment Tonight is reporting that Stefani shared some photos with Shelton on Instagram prior to the event.

Along with some group photos of the crew, Stefani posted a few pics of Shelton with his hair sticking straight up.

She even shared a few images of Shelton practicing on stage.

Shelton wasn’t the only guest at the concert. Stefani also invited the rapper Eve to sing a few of their older hits, including “Rich Girl.”

This isn’t the first time Shelton and Stefani have sang the duet for fans.

The couple performed the song on The Voice prior to Stefani’s tour.

“Yeah it feels like, ‘Wow, that happened.’ I can’t believe I wrote a song with that guy,” Stefani said. “And then we got a chance to sing it together on The Voice. Like… and everyone got to see that. It was a miracle. It was incredible.”

“Go Ahead and Break My Heart” is from Shelton’s latest album, If I’m Honest.

Fans might get another chance to see Shelton and Stefani singing together as the pop star’s tour is scheduled through the end of August.
