‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 13 Spoilers — April And Jackson Reunion Confirmed In New Behind-The-Scenes Photos?
Will April and Jackson get back together at the start of Grey’s Anatomy’s new season?
Sarah Drew just shared a snapshot from the set of Season 13 featuring April and Jackson (Jesse William) together again. Does this mean their relationship is back on?
According to International Business Times, Drew took the picture during production of Episode 1 Season 13. The image featured April in a hospital gown and might have taken place right after April’s stressful delivery.
“#BackToSchool,” Drew wrote alongside the photo. “#GreysAnatomyseason13.”
As fans will recall, April had to get a C-section after she unexpectedly went into labor in Meredith’s (Ellen Pompeo) home.
Fortunately, the C-section was successful, and April gave birth to her first baby.
If the photo was taken during April’s hospital stay, then Design & Trend is reporting that the new season of Grey’s Anatomy might pick up right where Season 12 left off.
Furthermore, it looks like April’s pregnancy crisis may have saved her relationship with Jackson.
Earlier this year, Drew hinted that April’s new baby was a “beacon of hope” for her relationship with Jackson.

The couple had signed divorce papers before they knew about the baby, leading many fans hoping that they eventually get back together.
As far as Drew is concerned, there is always a chance that April and Jackson will rekindle their romance.
“I always, always, always hold out hope for Japril,” Drew explained. “I think there’s always hope. Nobody’s dead. There’s always hope as long as they’re both still breathing.”
Whether or not the pair works out their differences is yet to be seen.
Meanwhile, apart from April and Jackson, Unreality TV is reporting that ABC has released new promo art for the upcoming season.
The poster features a shot of Pompeo next to the Seattle skyline. Interestingly, the poster does not include a tagline and instead draws all the attention to Meredith.
Apparently, the poster indicates that the new year will mainly focus on Meredith’s romance with Riggs (Martin Henderson). Meredith and Riggs hooked up at the end of Season 12, despite the problems that their romance will undoubtedly cause.
“Nathan is irreverent and kind of calls Meredith on her s**t and that might be really good for her,” Henderson explained. “He doesn’t take [things] all that seriously. It’ll be interesting to see whose heart melts first.”
According to Ecumenical News, Meredith’s relationship with Riggs will create friction between her and Owen (Kevin McKidd).
Owen and Riggs have a complicated history together that includes the disappearance of Owen’s sister. Once Owen finds out about Meredith’s new romance, there is little chance that he will approve.
That being said, there is a possibility that the new Grey’s Anatomy poster doesn’t mean anything.
“For anyone trying to interpret the ‘meaning’ of the new #GreysAnatomy poster design: it means ABC designs really cool posters,” she wrote on Twitter.
Shortly after the poster debuted, fans took to social media to try and figure out what it meant for the characters at Grey Sloan Memorial.
“@shondarhimes a death?” one fan wrote on Twitter.
Thankfully, it doesn’t sound as though the poster means anything beyond its promotional intentions.
Hopefully, things will eventually work out between Meredith and Riggs without too many people getting hurt.
At the same time, it will be interesting to see if the new baby brings April and Jackson back together or if they are doomed to separate for good.
Fans can watch April and Jackson renew their romance when Season 13 of Grey’s Anatomy airs Sept. 22 on ABC.
