‘Medal Of Honor: Warfighter’ Beta Goes Live Next Month, Will Be Xbox 360 Exclusive

EA today announced that it will be kicking off a worldwide mutliplayer beta for Medal Honor: Warfighter next month, and it will be open to all. Well, sort of.

There aren’t any prerequisites to get into the Medal of Honor: Warfighter beta, so you’ll be able to just download it and jump in once it goes live. That said, EA confirmed that the beta will be exclusive to the Xbox 360 platform in all regions.

The beta, which is expected to go live sometime around the early half of October, will allow players to pick one of 12 Tier 1 operators to play around with in mutliplayer. In case you’re rusty on your military jargon, Tier 1 basically means Navy SEALs, British SAS, Spetsnaz, and the like.

The Medal of Honor: Warfighter beta will also allow you to try out an all-new game mode, which developer Danger Close is calling “HotSpot.” Here’s how that works:

“The Medal of Honor Warfighter beta will feature a brand new multiplayer mode called HotSpot, where players attack and defend randomly-selected locations on the Sarajevo Stadium map in Bosnia. Inspired by real-life operations, players team-up in pairs using the game’s unique co-op Fireteam system for a competitive advantage on the battlefield.”

If you download the beta, EA says that you’ll get a Double XP bonus in the full game that lasts around 60 minutes.

Lastly, EA says that it will be releasing a new Medal of Honor-inspired music video from Linkin Park, dubbed “CASTLE OF GLASS.” Said video will be released shortly after the beta, but gamers can unlock it early if three million people download the beta.
