Justin Bieber Delivers On DJ Snake’s ‘Let Me Love You’: Song Hits No. 1 On US iTunes, Top Two In UK

Justin Bieber, king of bops, continues to roll them out thanks to a new feature on DJ Snake’s “Let Me Love You.”

It’s now No. 1 on U.K. iTunes, No. 1 on U.S. iTunes, tops over 30 international iTunes charts, and is top 10 in 64 countries on iTunes at press time.

In fact, Bieber is battling himself in the U.K. His other current feature on Major Lazer’s “Cold Water” with Mo is No. 2 on U.K. iTunes, where it is also now certified silver, No. 4 on U.S. iTunes, and placed high in multiple countries. It’s also No. 1 on Spotify and No. 1 for a second week in the U.K’s official singles Top 40 chart.

If you haven’t yet heard of “Let Me Love You,” the pulsing Euro-dance earworm appears on DJ Snake’s debut album Encore, which dropped at midnight on Thursday. Following its release, the track climbed iTunes charts steadily to the aforementioned positions. Delighted Justin Bieber fan update accounts tweeted the news.

Bieber showcases a pure falsetto on the jam, which reveals lyrics about persisting with love through a trying time.

“Say, go through the darkest of days / Heaven’s a heartbreak away / Never let you go, never let me down,” the pop star promises in the pre-chorus. “Oh, it’s been a hell of a ride / Driving the edge of a knife / Never let you go, never let me down.”

In the addictive chorus, Bieber sings, “Don’t you give up, nah-nah-nah / I won’t give up, nah-nah-nah / Let me love you Let me love you / Don’t you give up, nah-nah-nah / I won’t give up, nah-nah-nah / Let me love you / Let me love you / Oh baby, baby.”

Incredibly, “Let Me Love You” isn’t even an official single on Encore. Will DJ Snake change his mind seeing the track’s iTunes positions? Maybe. Perhaps he won’t have to and the song’s progress will do its own heavy lifting.

The 30-year-old French producer (formal name, William Sami Etienne Grigahcine), began his ascent as a producer following youthful years DJing in Paris. He put in production chores on Lady Gaga’s “Government Hooker” in 2011, before jumping onto Diplo’s radar with his single “Bird Machine” in 2013. Then came his breakthrough track “Turn Down For What” with Lil Jon and his contribution on Major Lazer’s global smash “Lean On.”

In addition to Bieber’s star power and talent on “Let Me Love You,” a slew of rappers guest on the 14-track Encore. These include Migos, Young Thug, Travi$ Scott, and Swizz Beats. EDM titan Skrillex also collaborated, as well as Yellow Claw and R&B’s Jeremih.
