‘The Bachelorette’s’ Robby Hayes Still Angry At JoJo Fletcher? Will He Be The Next ‘Bachelor’ Star?
Now that JoJo Fletcher has handed out her final rose on The Bachelorette, the hunt for the next Bachelor star has officially started.
Although Robby Hayes got all the way to The Bachelorette’s finale, it doesn’t look like ABC will offer him the job on The Bachelor. Is he still angry will Fletcher for dumping him for Jordan Rodgers?
An inside source close to Hayes told Us Magazine that he holds nothing against Fletcher for not picking him. Instead, Hayes is happy that Fletcher is happy and doing well with Rodgers.
“He’s doing really well,” the insider revealed. “With the help of family and friends, he’s progressively been able to move on.”
Hayes was confident that Fletcher would pick him over Rodgers and almost got down on one knee to propose to Fletcher in the finale. Fortunately, Fletcher caught him before he made the embarrassing proposal and broke the bad news.
Hayes was crushed by the rejection but is happy with how things turned out.
“Finding out that JoJo is happy was comforting and is helping move on,” the source added. “Robby still cares for her and in caring for her, all he wants is for her to be happy.”
Although things didn’t end perfectly, Hayes is glad that he participated in the competition and revealed that he would do it all over again if given the chance. However, there is a good reason to believe that Hayes will not get another chance at dating on reality TV.
According to Zap2it, there is a possibility that Hayes was not truthful about his sexual orientation on the show. Apparently, an inside source believes that Hayes’ past relationships with women ended because they questioned his sexuality and thought he was gay.
“I questioned if he was gay the past few months after the only things that he would post were him and guys and a few pictures here and there of him and Hope,” the source explained. “Maybe that’s why they broke up? Because she thought he was gay?”
That being said, Hayes has never addressed the rumors about his sexuality, and Fletcher did not seem to question him at any point on The Bachelorette.
Meanwhile, People is reporting that Fletcher and Rodgers have already given their opinions on who they think should star on the next season of The Bachelor.
“I got to know these guys so well,” Fletcher explained. “Chase and Luke [Pell] both were two men that I cared so deeply for that made impressions on my heart. I think they are both deserving. They are both very different, and I don’t think you can go wrong with either one. But I know they’re fan favorites. America loves them. I adore them. I mean, I honestly think they’re going to be great either way.”
Interestingly, Fletcher did not name Hayes as a good candidate for the gig.
For his part, Rodgers slightly different thoughts on who he would pick for the role.
“Both of those guys are great,” Rodgers admitted. “If I had to throw in my hat of two dark horses, I would love to see James Taylor or Wells Adams gets a shot at finding that special someone as well.”
Based on their comments and how things went down on The Bachelorette, it doesn’t look like Hayes will be returning to ABC anytime soon.
While fans will have to wait a little while longer before ABC reveals who will be the next Bachelor star, Rodgers is confident in his future with Fletcher.
“I was so ready,” Rodgers admitted about proposing during the finale. “JoJo is the one. I know that, no matter what, we’ll get through anything.”
