Brad Pitt And Marion Cotillard Demonstrate Why Affair Rumors Were Believable As They Show ‘Electric’ Chemistry
The sign of two incredible actors is when they have such good chemistry that the world speculates there must be something more to it. This was exactly the case with the ongoing electricity between co-stars Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard, who play undercover allies that develop romantic feelings for one another in an upcoming film. All the while, the duo strategize “high-profile assassinations,” People reports.

To be more exact, in the upcoming film Allied, Brad plays a British intelligence officer who is sent to Casablanca on a mission. Meanwhile, Cotillard stars as a French Resistance fighter posing as his wife.
Graham King, the producer of the film, states that “their chemistry was instant.” King shares about the leading stars’ interactions and respect for one another.
“Brad and Marion immediately had the utmost respect for each other, so once they delved into their characters, their chemistry was electric.”
As the producer shares, Brad and Marion were expected to spend time together prior to filming in order to find this chemistry and “hone their performances.”
“It was crucial for Brad and Marion to not only begin rehearsing together before the shoot, but they also spent a lot of time developing their characters with the director, Robert Zemeckis. By the time we got to set, it was really amazing to see these characters already feel lived in and real.”
Set in 1942, the movie is inspired by real wartime stories heard by screenwriter Steve Knight. It was his script that drew Pitt and Cotillard to the film. King states that it was the beautiful and enticing script that attracted both Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard to the project.
“Everyone was immediately drawn to the project by Steve Knight’s wonderful script. He is an incredible storyteller and wrote a beautiful love story that examines trust and loyalty.”
At first glance, Allied certainly looks as though it’s set to be a big success at the box office. It was supposedly well worth all of the drama and tabloid headlines that surfaced about Pitt and Cotillard engaging in an affair to make a film that will have movie-lovers flocking to see it in droves. The most entertaining story that came forth, thanks to tabloid embellishment, involved one that included Brad apparently rescuing damsel-in-distress Marion out of the crashing waters when she fell overboard during filming. This was the rumored spark to the two beginning a steamy affair.
Hollywood Life went so far as to link the insane chemistry the actors shared to a speculated affair. An insider spoke to the gossip site and pointed out the connection Brad and Marion had, which we now know was simply all for the big screen.
“There is totally something going on between [Brad and Marion]. They had insane chemistry right from the start, and many crewmembers believe they’ve been acting on it in private. [Marion and Brad] “already have ‘affectionate nicknames’ for each other, and Marion ‘lights up whenever Brad is around.'”

It’s not difficult to see why speculation would make the rounds about Brad Pitt engaging in an affair with a co-star, seeing as this is the scenario that brought him to his current wife and mother to his children, Angelina Jolie. The chemistry Brad and Angie had in the hit film Mr & Mrs. Smith resulted in Pitt leaving his former wife, Jennifer Aniston, and making a whole new life for himself. Six children later, Pitt and Jolie are still going strong as a talented and loving duo despite the rumors of marital issues.
