Following Odom’s close brush with death and successful recovery, Radar Online is reporting the former NBA star has fallen back to his old ways.

On the latest episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Odom even begged Khloe Kardashian for money while her family vacationed in Cuba.

“He just asked for cash,” Khloe revealed to her good friend Malika Haqq during a family dinner with Kourtney, Kim, and Kanye West.

Khloe and her family were in Cuba when Odom requested the money. Apparently, he knew that she would have communication issues on the trip.

“I know he was waiting for me to leave town, waiting for me,” Khloe continued. “He knows my phone doesn’t work.”

Thankfully, Malika reminded Khloe that Odom isn’t her responsibility anymore.

“You’ve done everything you can do, you can’t control him,” Malika assured her. “If he wants to run himself back into the gutter, he’s going to do just that.”

Apparently, this type of behavior is normal for Odom, who often did the same thing to Khloe during their four-year marriage.

“Every time I left town when we were married this would happen,” Khloe explained.

Despite the manipulation, Khloe kept her spirits up throughout the trip. However, during a late family dinner, Khloe discussed Odom’s future and chances of making it back into the NBA.

“It’s really sad,” she admitted. “His motor skills are not what they used to be. He was such a great athlete, and didn’t even try.”

Khloe stood by Lamar Odom throughout his recovery process, even putting their divorce on hold until he got better.

According to People, Khloe’s family was disappointed with how upset she was about Odom.

When they all visited Ernest Hemingway’s house, Khloe decided to skip out and stay at the hotel, which only made her sisters sad.

“I just want her to, like, live life and enjoy herself and not worry about it all, which just breaks my heart because it’s, like, the same cycle over again,” Kim explained to fans. “It just really sucks.”

Meanwhile, it isn’t clear why Odom needed money, though Starcasm is reporting that he owes his ex-wife some $10 million.

Odom built up the debt through medical bills and excessive partying during his marriage and breakup.

“She’s been bankrolling him for years, ever since he quit the Lakers and became a full-time dropout,” an insider revealed.

The source added that Khloe pays for just about everything in Odom’s life, including “lodgings to pocket money – and even support for his dad and kids.”

For his part, all outward signs point towards Odom’s relapse into drugs and alcohol.

To stop another life-threatening situation from happening, Odom’s family in New York allegedly tried to stage an intervention with Ron Dock, an addiction specialist.

Their plan was to confront Odom about his addictions and take him to rehab in Florida.

Unfortunately, the former Los Angeles Laker was tipped off by a friend and avoided the intervention.

“The kids really wanted the intervention to happen,” a source shared. “Everyone wants Lamar to get help.”

According to Us Magazine, Odom plans on building a fresh start in New York with his two children, Destiny and Lamar Jr.

However, while on the plane to New York, Odom was kicked off for being intoxicated and vomiting.

After he made it to New York, Odom barely spent time with his family. Instead, he went out on the town and hit up strip clubs and bars.

As far as Khloe is concerned, the reality star now realizes that tough love is the only answer.

“She will never stop fighting for Lamar,” an insider said. “But there’s only so much she can do.”
