Kaitlyn Bristowe And Shawn Booth Lash Out Over No Invite To JoJo Fletcher’s ‘Bachelorette’ Finale Special

Two people who weren’t in the audience for JoJo Fletcher’s The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose special were Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth. Apparently, they didn’t choose not to attend. According to Kaitlyn and Shawn, they didn’t go because they didn’t get an invite.

As the finale episode aired, both Kaitlyn and Shawn lashed out on Twitter over their lack of invite to the live special. Kaitlyn sarcastically thanked the show for her invite.

Several people commented on Kaitlyn’s tweet to tell her that she and Shawn should have been invited to be a part of the audience for the After the Final Rose special. Some people even commented that it should have been Kaitlyn and Shawn featured in the audience, rather than Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell.

Shawn was more vocal than Kaitlyn over the non-invite. In response to a producer’s tweet that teased that they’re live in the studio with a lot of special guests and which included a photo of Ben and Lauren, Shawn sarcastically tweeted that having Ben and Lauren, instead of inviting the best Bachelorette the show has ever had, makes total sense. Obviously, it’s his fiancee, Kaitlyn, whom Shawn thinks is the best Bachelorette the show has ever had.

The producer, Elan Gale, responded to Shawn’s tweet. Elan replied that he wishes that Shawn and Kaitlyn were there. It seems that Elan didn’t have any say on which franchise alums were invited to be a part of the live special.

The producer and creator of the franchise, Mike Fleiss, to whom Shawn directly addressed his tweet, also responded to Shawn’s tweet. Mike joked that they couldn’t have Shawn as part of the live audience as well or else it would have been “goofy hair overload.”

Kaitlyn Bristowe was the Bachelorette prior to JoJo Fletcher. She got engaged to Shawn Booth on her finale episode, and they are still engaged today. Her third runner-up was Ben Higgins, who went on the become the star of The Bachelor, where he met and got engaged to Lauren Bushnell.

Viewers can actually see what Ben and Lauren’s day-t0-day life together has been like since they got engaged a few months ago when their new reality show, Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After?, premieres on Freeform in October. The short preview clip that Ben posted on his Twitter page of his new show shows snippets of his time at the Bachelor mansion with Lauren, from when they first met to when they got engaged. The preview also shows Ben and Lauren commenting that they survived The Bachelor but now it’s time for real life.

In response to Shawn’s tweet over the non-invite, several people actually commented that Kaitlyn and Shawn should be the ones with a reality show, not Ben and Lauren, whom they believe to be too boring to carry a show on their own.

Was Shawn’s tweet a direct diss towards Ben? During their time together on The Bachelorette pursuing Kaitlyn, they became good friends. After Kaitlyn sent Ben home and got engaged to Shawn, both men made clear, via social media and media interviews, that they were still friends and had no hard feelings towards one another.

Kaitlyn and Shawn were in the audience for Ben’s After the Final Rose special. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Shawn hung out with Ben backstage and congratulated him on his engagement to Lauren Bushnell.

On Sunday, both Ben Higgins and Shawn actually appeared together on a special Bachelor/Bachelorette edition of Celebrity Family Feud. The men’s team was comprised of men from Kaitlyn’s season. In addition to Ben and Shawn, who stood side-by-side, there was Chris “Cupcake” Strandburg, Ben Zorn, and Tanner Tolbert.

Kaitlyn, who appeared briefly in an early episode of the latest The Bachelorette to give JoJo Fletcher advice, was a part of the women’s team for Celebrity Family Feud. Kaitlyn later tweeted that it wasn’t awkward to have the guys from her season there. She said that it was great to see them all and added that they’re all her and Shawn’s friends.

Perhaps Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth are just really upset over their non-invite to the latest After the Final Rose special because they really wanted to hang out with Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell?
