‘DWTS’ Nuptials: Kym Johnson And Robert Herjavec Tie The Knot

The latest DWTS nuptials have taken place as Kym Johnson and Robert Herjavec have tied the knot. The pair was married in front of their families and friends on Sunday in Los Angeles.

Johnson and Herjavec met on Dancing With the Stars during Season 20, when they were paired up together. The relationship started like any other on the celebrity competition show but evolved into something more romantic as the weeks went on. Even after they were voted out of the competition, they continued to date and fell more and more in love with each other. After meeting in 2015, they got engaged in March this year and opted for a quick wedding with 250 guests in total.

People confirms that the wedding happened on Sunday in Los Angeles, and Johnson was accompanied by her mother and father as she walked down the aisle. She opted for Somewhere Over the Rainbow as her song to meet her lifelong partner, Herjavec.

There were plenty of DWTS contestants and dancers in attendance at the ceremony. Carrie Ann Inaba was just one of the judges, who had witnessed the flirting turn into romance on 2015 season. Donny Osmond and Lance Bass, both former contestants, were also there to witness the two get married, along with many others.

A number of professional dancers were there. Derek Hough helped the world witness the DWTS nuptials by Snapchatting the whole wedding. The photos gave an idea of the other dancers and contestants there to see the two tie the knot. Mark Ballas, Kep Motsepe, and Cheryl Burke were all spotted in various photos.

During the ceremony, the bridal party couldn’t help but show off their dancing skills. Johnson, Burke, and others got together on the dance floor to perform a number to Bills, the first song Johnson and Herjavec danced to on Dancing With the Stars.

Just three days before the big day, Johnson joked with People that she hoped she wouldn’t be sobbing throughout the wedding. She knew that during her DWTS nuptials, she would likely be “overcome with emotion.”

Both recently spoke about their relationship, which it seems they didn’t completely expect to continue after DWTS. They are extremely happy it did, and Johnson says that she is “so happy” to have Herjavec by her side for the rest of her life. Her new husband had also said that he “felt complete” after meeting her.

The two had made it to Week 6 of the competition back in 2015. It was during the double elimination round that they couldn’t be saved despite impressing the judges and viewers. Just 10 months later, they announced their engagement, and now it has led to this.

Their first dance as a couple had extra meaning. Blasting News reports that they danced to At Last, which was the next song they were supposed to dance to during the competition. The title of the song makes it seem fitting as the couple’s first dance during their DWTS nuptials.

People exclusively covered the wedding, meaning that the publication will get the first rights to show photos from the ceremony. These will appear in this Friday’s magazine for all fans to see. Johnson did share some photos of the pre-wedding rehearsal dinner with her bridal party on Instagram. Everyone wore white, and they were full of smiles as they prepared for the next day.

Johnson and Herjavec’s wedding is just the latest DWTS nuptials to take place. There will be more coming up with Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy now engaged and expecting their first baby. There isn’t a date set for their wedding yet. Season 6 and 8 winner Mark Ballas is now engaged to BC Jean, while Julianne Hough is planning her wedding to Brooks Laich. There are certainly likely many more DWTS nuptials to come.
