Jessa Duggar Claims Jinger Duggar, Not Jill Dillard, is Her ‘Best Friend’

Jessa Duggar celebrated the engagement of her younger sister, Jinger Duggar, on Instagram. But the more surprising thing is that she touted that Jinger is her “best friend.” Considering that she often claimed that her older sister, Jill Dillard, is her bestie, this switch in alliances seemed more like a strategic move on Jessa’s part.

Ever since the molestation scandal involving Josh Duggar, there has not been any good reason to celebrate the Duggar family. Jinger Duggar getting engaged to Jeremy Vuolo is the best thing that happened to the family since then.

Check out the sweet Instagram post Jessa made in honor of her younger sister, aka her “best friend.”

This engagement of her younger sister definitely overshadowed her baby, Spurgeon, turning eight months old. While Jessa posted about it as well, the post did not do nearly as well as her latest one.

Now that Jessa got a little bit of attention back from congratulating her younger sister, she posted about her darling baby boy.

Before Jill married Derick Dillard and moved to El Salvador to help him on his mission, she was very close to Jessa, her younger sister by only a year. Not only did they get married and have babies around a very close time, as rumor has it, they also have this “pregnancy pact,” which means that they are planning to get pregnant around the same time.

“On the season finale of Jill & Jessa: Counting On, Jill (Duggar) Dillard revealed that she may be pregnant at the same time as her best friend and little sister Jessa (Duggar) Seewald,” reports People Magazine.

And now, from the looks of it on the teaser trailer for the next season of Jill and Jessa: Counting On, the sisters may be trying to get pregnant, or even adopt!

“We have many friends who have walked this road, so we have seen firsthand the amazing power of adoption,” Jessa said to Us Weekly. “There are so many kids out there who are longing for the love of a family, and we feel strongly about opening our hearts and our home to welcome them in.”

Jessa was the first one to state a definite desire to adopt a child, but as soon as she did, Jill Dillard also jumped on the bandwagon.

Adoption may be the best way for Jill to have another child as she has been living under the threat of Zika virus, which has deformed many babies born from infected mothers. Since the symptoms of infection have been vague, it is not unlikely that Jill may have been already exposed to the disease.

Also, with Jessa aligning herself with Jinger may mean that the old sister rivalry with Jill Dillard may be starting up again. The two have always kept up a friendly and supportive facade, but the fact that they got engaged and married, then they both had a son less than a year apart shows there might be some competition between them. But with Jinger Duggar getting married to Jeremy Vuolo, the next baby in the second generation of Duggars may not come from Jessa nor Jill.

“So excited to share this news that we are now engaged,” the pair told People Magazine. “From both of us, thank you all for the countless well-wishes we’ve received during the courtship. We are so excited to take this next step in spending our lives together. We are so grateful for how the Lord has brought us together. It has been an incredible journey so far and we are excited about serving Christ together in the coming days.”

It should only be a matter of time until Jinger Duggar starts popping out babies!
