‘Scream Queens’ Star Lea Michele Bares It All For Women’s Health

Lea Michele will be making a return to Scream Queens as the devious Hester, but, long before the season premiere of Ryan Murphy’s latest hit, fans can see much more of Lea in a literal sense. Michele has bared it all for the cover of Women’s Health UK, expressing the pride she feels in having achieved a toned and fit physique inside the magazine’s September issue. It’s a bold move for Lea, risking the criticism of body shamers who seem so prevalent in today’s online community, but, in baring herself so publicly, Ms. Michele provides inspiration for millions of people struggling with issues of obesity and unhealthy lifestyles.

Lea Michele Takes It All Off And Bares Her Toned Physique

As Entertainment Tonight reveals, the Women’s Health UK annual Naked Issue offers celebrities to bare themselves in more ways than one. In Ms. Michele’s case, she’s pleased to share her unclothed beauty, because she feels as though she’s in the best shape she’s ever been in and she reveals that, by stating that, she means emotionally as well as physically.

“I’m not perfect,” Lea is quick to add. “I’m not trying to represent myself as being some perfect girl, but I love myself, flaws and all.”

While she is in a good place, Michele says that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have bad days. Lea gets down, just like everyone else, but she has the perfect prescription for dealing with those down times. On those occasions, Lea deviates from her healthy lifestyle and indulges in comfort food — macaroni and cheese. Also on Ms. Michele’s list of cures for the blues are indulging in red wine and calling her mom. Some good reality T.V. tops off a bad night for the Scream Queens actress.

The good days are filled with the healthier lifestyle that has helped Lea achieve her finely toned physique, but Ms. Michele says her physical fitness routines wouldn’t leave her with the typical “gym rat” label. Instead, she likes to indulge in a different sort of activity.

“I’m not the kind of person who would go to the gym,” Lea says. “For me, working out has to be good for my mind too, and when I leave [spinning class SoulCycle], the endorphins are buzzing, I’m glowing and I feel like I can take on the world.”

Scream Queens Star Lea Michele On Hester’s Turn Of Luck

San Diego Comic Con was the setting for the latest Scream Queens teasers, dropped by the show’s panel, and Lea Michele was on hand to reveal Hester’s turn of luck, since walking away from murder at the end of Season 1. Design & Trend reveals that Hester didn’t walk away quite as free as was implied, even though Scream Queens executive producer Ian Brennan teased fans by suggesting Hester’s whereabouts were a mystery.

“[But] I’m very happy I’m not with these guys in the hospital,” Michele said. “My costume is very comfortable, and I have a fun new accessory to play with.”

While those remarks hardly tell us where Lea’s Scream Queens character starts out Season 2, a behind the scenes set video shows Michele’s character wearing a blue prison uniform. A very comfortable costume indeed! Shackles confined Lea’s hands, legs and waist, adding relevance to Ms. Michele’s comment about having new accessories with which she could play. In the scene, Michele was escorted down the steps of a police station, escorted by two uniformed officers, but she was seen to be smiling as she was led to a nearby SUV.

It seemed that Dean Cathy Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis) was willing to let Hester walk away from her crimes, but could she have had a change of heart and turned Michele’s character in to the police? Or maybe Lea plays an even more vicious villain in Season 2 of Scream Queens, which led to her arrest in an unrelated matter.

Scream Queens will premiere on Tuesday, September 20 on Fox.
