How Selena Gomez Is Supporting Taylor Swift In The Wake Of Her Kim Kardashian, Kanye West Feud

Selena Gomez has made it known that she has Taylor Swift’s back when it comes to her recent drama with Kim Kardashian and husband Kanye West, and now she’s encouraging Taylor to put her feelings into song.

According to reports, Selena has allegedly been encouraging her close friend to take the high road in the days that followed Kim releasing footage of her candid phone call with Kanye and is urging Taylor not to speak out further about the drama unless it’s via her music.

“Selena keeps reminding Taylor that she will come out stronger in the end if she doesn’t react to anything Kanye says,” an inside source close to Gomez recently told Hollywood Life, revealing that Selena has been urging Taylor to put pen to paper and create a song about her recent feud with the couple.

According to the source, Selena has been suggesting that Swift stay quiet “and just concentrate on her music and the powerful music she’s writing.”

The report comes after both Taylor and Selena hit back almost immediately after Kardashian took to Snapchat to release footage of the now infamous phone call about the track “Famous,” though both Gomez and Swift have stayed radio silent about the drama since.

Swift was first to hit back at Kim on Instagram, posting a lengthy response to the leaked footage in which she denied ever giving her approval on the line “I made that b**** famous.”

“While I wanted to be supportive of Kanye on the phone call, you cannot ‘approve’ of a song you haven’t heard,” Swift wrote in part on the social media site in the hours that followed Kardashian’s Snapchat exposé. “Being falsely painted as a liar when I was never given the full story or played any part of the song is character assassination.”

Selena Gomez then followed Taylor Swift’s lead, also taking to social media to slam Kim and Kanye.

“There are more important things to talk about… Why can’t people use their voice for something that f****** matters?” Gomez tweeted out shortly after Kardashian’s Snapchat video hit the web. “Truth is last thing we need right now is hate, in any form,” Selena continued. “This industry is so disappointing yet the most influential [shaking my head].”

Though Gomez did not mention Swift, Kardashian or West by name, she certainly appeared to be alluding to her friend’s recent feud with the twosome.

Taylor and Selena have stayed tight-lipped about the feud ever since, despite Kim and Kanye continuing to speak out about their explosive feud in an interview with Harpers Bazaar, but this isn’t the first time it’s been reported that Gomez has been encouraging Swift to hit the studio.

It was reported following Swift’s recent split from Calvin Harris, prior to her newfound romance with Tom Hiddleston, that Selena had been urging Taylor to write about her most recent breakup as a form of therapy.

“Selena and other friends are encouraging her to get back on stage and back in the studio, two things that may be best for her right now,” a source told Hollywood Life at the time, just weeks before it was revealed that Swift had been working on new music about both Calvin and Tom.

An insider close to Swift revealed to E! News this month that Taylor and Tom have “gotten very close” in the few short weeks since their relationship began, admitting that Hiddleston has already inspired a number of new songs for Taylor’s next album.

“[Taylor] is enjoying the time off from working. She has been writing during her travels, and Tom has been an inspiration in her music,” a source told the site of Taylor’s new music, but didn’t reveal if Swift has also been putting pen to paper to hit back at Kim and Kanye.
