On Tuesday night, Jon Stewart appeared on The O’Reilly Factor with host Bill O’Reilly the promote the upcoming debate between the two. In under seven minutes, the political comedian drew several comparisons between O’Reilly and Darth Vader and even called him “Dr. Doom” over his opinions on Sandra Fluke.

In O’Reilly’s “Back of the Book” segment, the two seemed to kick things off early, deadpanning subtle jabs at each other as they talked about their debate, the political conventions, and various topic of interest. O’Reilly specifically asked Stewart what he thought about the Republican and Democratic National Conventions, specifically Sandra Fluke’s speech at the latter.

“I thought she was very well possessed, did a very nice job there. I know she is a particular punching-bag for you,” Stewart responded.

“No, no, no,” O’Reilly objected.

“God forbid a woman come out of nowhere and speak about an issue close to her heart without Dr. Doom here raining death from above,” Stewart retorted.

Stewart also talked a bit about Clint Eastwood’s now-infamous speech at the Republican National Convention in Tampa. He said that Eastwood’s speech was refreshing, adding that he didn’t think that Eastwood’s vaudevillian back-and-forth with an empty chair meant to represent President Barack Obama was a disrespectful touch.

Calling the conventions “three days of disrespect to the other guy,” Stewart said that the whole point is to trash your opponent and that he appreciated Eastwood’s “unscripted” speech.
