Kim Kardashian Compares Herself To Ernest Hemingway & Marilyn Monroe, Drops Taylor Swift Bombshell
Kim Kardashian, star of Keeping Up With The Kardashians and famed primarily for being famous, and Earnest Hemingway, one of literature’s greatest kings, might not seem to have much in common. Unless, of course, you ask Kim for her insights.
Kardashian claims that she and Hemingway are remarkably alike, making the discovery when she and Kourtney visited the home in which Earnest resided in Cuba, notes Vanity Fair.
The revelation occurs during Sunday’s upcoming episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, when viewers learn that Kim and Kourtney “read The Old Man and the Sea in high school.” With that familiarity, Kim is ecstatic to discover that Hemingway had a life that almost (well, sort of ) parallels the Kardashians, in her view.
For example, Kardashian recently became focused on shedding her posts-pregnancy pounds. When she discovered that Earnest weighed himself daily on his bathroom scale and even wrote notes on the wall to stay on top of his weight, the reality TV star was thrilled.
“That’s like me!” gushed Kardashian. “That’s cool.”
Moreover, Hemingway had magazines piled up in his house. And while Kim may prefer to hold onto copies of modern fashion magazines showcasing her body, Earnest’s fondness for magazines apparently qualifies as showing just how many common qualities he shares with the mom of two kids who became famous before they could walk.
As for what her husband Kanye West thinks? In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, West and Kardashian were asked with which historical figure they identify.
But her husband didn’t have as much trouble, doing the talking for both of them by comparing himself to a great fighter and Kardashian to an actress renowned for her body.
“Us? Muhammad Ali, Marilyn Monroe—all day. Next question,” said West promptly.
They also discussed their own bodies, with Kanye saying that Kim’s heart is his “favorite body part.” Kardashian admitted that she felt compelled to “say the same” about her husband, then elaborated on her famous hourglass figure.
Kim laughed before revealing which body part she likes most of her husband in addition to his heart.
“I’ve always loved [Kanye’s] legs.”
As for an update on their famous feud with Taylor Swift, the discussion stayed short, with Kardashian managing to drop a bombshell. West claimed that he did not have a favorite Swift song, but then Kim made a confession, admitting that she used to qualify as a loyal member of Team Taylor.
“I was such a fan of hers,” mourned Kardashian.
But when it comes to hidden talents not yet revealed, both offered surprises. Kim announced that she has a skill that might have qualified her as a famous dentist.
“I can smell when someone has a cavity. It’s a very specific smell—not a bad-breath smell—but something that is really strong,” clarified Kardashian.
Kanye issued a warning.
“I can analyze people’s intentions. Immediately.That’s just a warning. To everyone.”
In addition, a great divide exists when it comes to the topic of any insecurities. While Kardashian focused on her body, talking weight worries, West focused on the financial aspect of his life.
“I would say looking fat sometimes. I really do take it seriously,” admitted Kim about her biggest insecurities. “I try to do what I can and diet and stay in shape, and it does make me insecure when I’m heavy.”
But it’s all about money when it comes to her husband, and Kardashian is proud of his financial wisdom.
“I used to have insecurity about my finances, then I announced that I had debt, and now I don’t have any insecurities,” he proclaimed.
“Then you didn’t have any debt; it seemed to all figure it out,” added Kim.
