‘The Walking Dead’: Jeffrey Dean Morgan Talks Negan – He Will Be Wrecking Havoc [Spoilers]

The Walking Dead is getting closer to premiering. Fans are more excited than ever, especially after viewing the official Season 7 trailer. Since the Season 6 finale, there has been one thing on people’s minds, and that is who did Negan kill? Actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan recently spoke about his character and revealed some juicy TWD spoilers. No, he did not reveal the victim, but he did give away a few other hints regarding his character.

Remember, there are spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 7 below. If you don’t want to know what will happen, then do not continue reading.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Morgan teased that Negan’s first victim is just the beginning.

“It’s a reset on The Walking Dead world. It’s f*****g Negan’s world now,” Jeffrey Dean Morgan told EW.

“What you’re going to see in the first half of this season is Negan wreaking havoc. And some of your characters that you’ve grown to love are not going to be on the show anymore, and it’s going to end badly for them.”

Morgan makes it sound like Negan’s victim in the Season 7 premiere will not be the only one to die. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, there are rumors that Negan doesn’t kill just one character, but two in the premiere. However, that information has not been confirmed and won’t be until AMC begins airing new episodes.

The 50-year-old Supernatural actor didn’t stop there. He also said that Negan’s arrival will be a new beginning for TWD.

“Really, we’ve taken the show and just flipped it upside down. It’s a different show now. It’s going to have a different feeling,” Morgan explained. “You’re going to see your favorite characters in a position that they’ve never been in before, which is super vulnerable and victimized.”

Two days ago, AMC aired a look back special of The Walking Dead. Although the special episode was focused on Season 6, there were some tidbits on what is coming next. Executive producer Gale Anne Hurd explained what makes Rick’s group so vulnerable. She said it is because they have people they care about. That definitely makes living in the zombie apolcalypse more scary, worrying, and intense.

That wasn’t the only thing that was discussed, though. Lauren Cohan, the actress who portrays Maggie Greene, asked how could things get any worse. Based on what The Walking Dead comic book readers are saying, things can always get worse, and Negan’s men should never have been messed with. Out of all the groups and communities in the zombie apocalyptic world, Rick just had to go after Negan and the Saviors, probably the most brutal of them all.

However, fans shouldn’t worry that The Walking Dead will be all devastation, death, and destruction. There will be small slivers of hope, too. That much was teased during Comic-Con 2016. Hope and happiness will be necessary if Season 7 is really going to be as intense, extreme, and vicious as fans think.

Other TWD spoilers for Season 7 include the introduction of Ezekiel and Shiva. Also expect to see more leaders, survivors, groups, and communities. Some will have good intentions, but others will not. There are suspicions that the Whisperers from The Walking Dead comic books will arrive this season. That has not been confirmed, but in Season 3, Morgan (Lennie James) talked about people wearing dead faces. This implies that he saw the Whisperers, a group that turns walker skin into leather and wears them like masks. It will be interesting to see how fans respond to that group and how it will affect Alexandria.

What do you think of what Jeffrey Dean Morgan had to say about Negan? Are you looking forward to the Season 7 premiere? There isn’t too much longer to wait. The Walking Dead returns to AMC on October 23.
