BMW’s M5 Pure Metal Silver Edition Unveiled, Now Available For Purchase

BMW is beginning to unveil its latest editions, and its M5 pure Silver Metal Edition has not only been unveiled, but it’s now available for purchase as well. The company also released its Competition Edition, giving drivers a choice of either the Silver Limited Edition or a choice of black and white for the Competition Edition.

Maxim reported that the new limited edition BMW M5 is a beauty. The M division cars from BMW are known for their performance, handling, and understated luxury. The BMW M5 Pure Metal Silver Limited Edition is no different, and it’s based on the iconic M5 brand.

It comes from the factory with a generous 650 horsepower (HP) engine and 516 lbs. torque per foot. Since it is one of the most powerful BMWs ever built, it goes 0-60 in 3.9 seconds. It offers a unique color, dubbed Pure Metal Silver, and it includes an exclusive full-leather Merino interior. Although it may look like a businessman’s car, it’s made for those who want to go fast.

J. D. Power reported that BMW unveiled the new M5 Pure Metal Silver Limited Edition, and that it was one of the most powerful cars in the limited edition market. Sale of the car will begin in August 2016, and it will retail for $131,895 including handling.

This latest BMW M5 comes with a layered chrome appearance, a black kidney grille, and an M Performance exhaust. It also includes an M Driver’s package and a one-day driving school that includes exercises tailored for the track.

The South Florida Reporter said that 50 of the BMW M5 Pure Metal Silver Limited Edition were available. The units available were developed solely for the American market. The high-performance business sedan is ranked as one of the most powerful automobiles among the BMW brand.

The top speed for the M5 is currently set for 155 MPH, but the M Driver’s Package increases the speed to 190 MPH. Standard equipment on the M5 includes an M dual clutch transmission that features Drivelogic enabling sprints. It also has a sporty character about it because of the unique paint application process which layers the paint in such a way that it creates a light dark effect, and the Pure Metal Silver finish is considered to be BMW’s most unique paint job ever.

As previously mentioned, the package also includes the one-day driving school. There are two schools available, one in South Carolina, at the BMW Performance Center East, and one in California, at the West Performance Campus.

News SX reported that BMW unveiled its M5 competition edition. Since it is the last hurrah of what is called the “sports saloon,” only 200 units of the car will be made, and the F10 BMW M5 had had a glorious five-year run. The latest edition of the BMW M5 includes a 4.4-litre biturbo V-8. The horsepower has been bumped up, and now it’s producing 560 metric horsepower (HP). The Competition package for the M5 offers tougher springs and a ride height drop of 10 mm. Ceramic brakes are part of the standard package.

The aesthetic changes are minimal, but the BMW M5 still stands out. It comes in two shades: Carbon Black or Mineral White. The interior is finished in Merino Black and then trim stitched in Mineral White. The M5 is set to debut next year, and it plans to turn up the heat on its arch rival the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG.
