First Look At ‘Counting On’ Revealed: New Season Has Jinger Duggar Courting, Adoption Plans For Jill And Jessa, And More

Fans are getting excited for the new season of Counting On in what is expected to be full of changes and new adventures for the older Duggar siblings. The 10-episode series on TLC will focus on Jill, Jessa, and Jinger, as well as John-David, Jana, Joseph, Joy, Jedidiah, and Josiah as they face different experiences such as parenting, courting, and whatever else comes their way. The new season premiere is set for August 23, and to get everyone ready, TLC has posted a short preview of what can be expected very soon.

The announcement of Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo’s engagement was met with plenty of excitement, and their journey of the courtship that led to this day will be front and center on the show. The first look at Counting On shows Jeremy visiting Jinger at the Duggar family home, and it looks like he fits right in. He had plenty more visits as he took the time to get to know his new fiance.

This newly engaged couple really seem to be perfect for each other. In their official announcement, they were all smiles and gushing over each other as they told the world that there will be another Duggar wedding soon. The cameras have followed them as they got to know each other, Jeremy asking Jinger to court, and then ultimately their wedding proposal.

What has Jinger crying in the Counting On preview? The Duggar daughter is in tears as her guy is hugging her at what appears to be Ben and Jessa’s house. It could be that she is just so happy that he asked her to be in a courtship that she could have gotten overwhelmed in the moment. This is going to be a momentous occasion for not only the Duggar family but also for those devoted fans who have followed them ever since they were small.

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar wrote a post on their official family website on Tuesday promoting the new season of Counting On as well. They also mentioned that they were excited to have the former professional soccer player becoming a part of their family. The reality couple also teased that the show will feature everyone meeting Jeremy for the first time and the infamous chaperoned dates that the Duggars take part in.

Counting On will also follow Ben and Jessa as they have been learning many new things as parents to 8-month-old Spurgeon. They have been talking about adopting kids for a while now, in addition to having more of their own, and things may just be heading that way quickly. They mention it again in the clip, so that could be one of the highlights of the new season.

Adoption is also on the agenda for Jill and Derick Dillard. In fact, Derick mentions that they will probably be having a new baby by next year. Does this mean that Jill is already expecting, or have they already started the adoption process? Both couples are planning on adopting children to add to their growing brood. Jill and Derick will be making a trip home to Arkansas in August to visit with their families and to get a break from their missions in Central America. They have been there for the past year and are anxious to be able to give everyone hugs and spend some time helping Jinger Duggar get ready for her upcoming wedding.

In addition, TLC mentioned that Joy, Jedidiah, and Jeremiah are preparing to graduate high school. Even though the Duggar kids are all home-schooled, they will still receive diplomas and celebrate this big milestone in their lives.

It also sounds like Jinger is not the only Duggar that could be in a relationship. John David, Joseph, and Josiah are looking to court as well. Have they actually found a girl they think will make the perfect spouse for them? There could be more courtships ahead.
