Emily Ratajkowski’s Instagram is a one-stop shop for style and body goals as she frequently displays her toned physique and great outfits. Many admirers wonder what kind of diet she has to say in great shape and the answer may surprise you.
The model became known as a sex symbol after appearing in Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” that went to the top of the charts in many countries in 2013.
Since then, the model supports the right of women to express their sexuality and has been a sort of controversial feminist.
She has been attacked for defending Kim Kardashian by Daily Mail columnist Piers Morgan, who declared feminism dead. However, Emily stood her ground, saying that women should have the right to display their bodies without being shamed.
“However sexual our bodies maybe, we need to [have] the freedom as women to choose [when] & how we express our sexuality.”
Emily Ratajkowski has previously given insight into her diet. She stated that she likes to eat meat, thus enjoying a high-protein diet. Studies have shown that a diet rich in protein can help reduce body fat, which may explain her toned physique.
In an interview with Elle, Emily Ratajkowski gives some insight on how she likes to eat.
“You know, I’m a carnivore. I really like to eat meat. I crave iron so I am definitely not the kind of person who you will find eating a salad. I like to keep it really balanced to give my body energy and also be healthy. I cook a lot, so that really helps: You know how much salt and sugar and all of that kind of stuff you are putting in your body.”
However, the model and actress does not rely on diet alone. She enjoys hiking and yoga, which helps burn excess calories to stay slim while enjoying an occasional snack.

Emily Ratajkowski warns that her diet is not for everyone because everyone body is different.
“People will say ‘How do I get abs like you?’ I don’t know. We’re all different. If my girlfriend did what I did, hiking and yoga for a workout, it would affect her body in a different way. That’s the message that I really want to get out there. I’m trying to counteract that culture.
“I feel like it’s always about how this girl stays thin, or what one girl is doing to another, and it shouldn’t be that way,” Ratajkowski adds. “Female empowerment is always something that I’ve felt. It’s not about just being a model, it’s about women in general.”
Ratajkowski message is that there are many forms of a beautiful body and it’s not all about staying slim. Ashley Graham for example, who was on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue has a much curvier physique that is also desirable.
Looking good in a bikini is also about angles, and the model and actress spoke to Elle about taking selfies and getting the right poses.
“Like lifting your butt up in a certain way so you have a nice arch in your back. It’s funny, because you can be sore after your shoot, especially if you spend the day doing unusual things with your body. It just depends on the pose.”
In the interview the model also talks about her diet, stating that her genetics play a role in why she manages to stay fit.
“Also, I’m very lucky genetically that I don’t have to work super hard and freak out over my diet. It’s about balance. For example, like right now I’m talking to you and eating an almond croissant, but for lunch I’ll probably go light and have a salad or whatever.”
Although she previous stated she is not a salad eater, it is clear that the model understands balancing her diet. A diet compromising of carbs, protein, and fats can keep you slim if you stay within caloric limits and not go over the top.
