Ted Nugent Says He Has The Perfect Song To Clinch A Trump Presidency

Ted Nugent has been a vocal supporter of Donald Trump, and now the Motor City Madman says he has the perfect campaign song for the GOP nominee. In an interview with Ultimate Classic Rock, Ted Nugent weighed in on the musicians who’ve criticized the Donald for using their songs on the campaign trail. And while Nugent agrees that artists have a right to dictate how their music is used, he said he knows which song of his would guarantee Trump a ticket to the White House.

When asked about Queen, The Turtles, and The Rolling Stones’ demands that Trump stop playing their famous songs at his rallies, Ted totally agreed that it shouldn’t have been done without permission from the artists.

“Ownership of intellectual property is sacred to those of us who create it, and no one has any right to it without our permission,” Nugent said.

But that doesn’t mean Ted Nugent wouldn’t let his presidential pick use one of his most famous songs.

“‘Stranglehold’ would clinch the presidency,” Nugent said.

Ted Nugent is referring to the first track from his self-titled 1975 album. The 8-minute song is famous for its lengthy guitar solo and features lyrics like this:

“I got you in a stranglehold, baby/That night I crushed your face.”

In the same UCR interview, Nugent said if Hillary Clinton ever dared to use one of his songs during the Democratic National Convention, the results would be dire.

“We would know the end is near,” Ted said.

Ted Nugent has always been passionate about his opinions on hunting and gun laws, but politics have taken center stage at his shows in recent years. In an interview with AZ Central, Ted said it’s time for America to wake up and demand a change.

“The heartbreak of runaway corruption, abuse of power and indefensible criminality by our government and media should, must inspire all good we-the-people Americans to wake the hell up from the embarrassing curse of apathy and start demanding constitutional accountability from our elected employees,” Nugent said.

Ted Nugent also said Donald Trump “represents the ultimate anti-status-quo sucker punch,” and he slammed Hillary Clinton for “bribing gullible losers to vote for the big scam that they can get other’s earnings all the while making America weaker and weaker.”

“I like Donald Trump because he is bold and he is treating the culture war as the culture war that it is,” Nugent explained.

Earlier the year, Ted Nugent posted a lengthy manifesto on Facebook in which he offered his support to Trump. Ted described the real estate magnate as “the hellraiser America has needed for a very long time.”

It’s no surprise that Ted Nugent is a huge Trump supporter. Their brash personalities are very similar, and the Detroit rocker has even said that his fans have “celebrated” that “Donald Trump is as close to Ted Nugent as you are going to get in politics.”

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Ted Nugent rattled off a list of traits that he admires about the GOP nominee.

“He is the only candidate to admit he carries — i.e. keeps and bears — a firearm,” Nugent said of the Donald. “He has also been the only one to excoriate the insane policy of denying our U.S. military hero warriors their Second Amendment rights on military bases. ”

“He represents a glowing middle finger to the embarrassing status-quo politics, and everyone I know truly loves a good, glowing middle finger aimed directly at the most deserving,” Nugent added.
