‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 8 Must-Haves: Steroline, Klaroline, Benzo, and More!

With The Vampire Diaries Season 8 being the last of the series, there are certain things that fans have decided are must-haves for the show. These include a promised epic Steroline story, but also scenes between a few special couples.

Steroline, of course, is a fan favorite ship, and needs to appear in the final season. The Vampire Diaries fans caught onto the “we’re planning a June wedding,” according to TV Guide. Now that is all they want for the couple in the end. Would Caroline’s control freak nature take over? Is it possible for Stefan to actually get a happy ever after moment after all that he has been through over the decades?

A steamy start for the couple has already been promised. That doesn’t mean they will end up together, though.

Benzo (Bonnie and Enzo) has become a fan favorite couple, and now people want to see the two end up together at the very end. That is going to be difficult at first in TVD Season 8. Enzo is currently taken over by evil herself. However, Bonnie could get her magic back and save the man she loves.

Michael Malarkey, who plays Enzo, has said that he would like to see Benzo being an end game. He wants Enzo to get his happy ending after everything he went through with losing loves over the years.

It could be tricky at the moment. There are rumors that Nina Dobrev will return for The Vampire Diaries series finale. If that happens, it would technically mean that Bonnie has to die. Will the writers find a way around it to have a final moment for Damon and Elena?

A moment between Klaus and Caroline for Klaroline fans would be perfect. This will be extremely difficult considering the current situation in The Originals. The current setting in the child show will be five years in the future, which means Klaus is currently still stuck behind a wall in The Vampire Diaries‘ timeline.

Good writers will work their way around this. It could be Caroline dreaming something up to get approval from Klaus to marry Stefan, or a shot into the future with Klaus happy that she has been able to find love and a man who loves everything about her. Some fans don’t care, as long as they get that Klaroline moment.

Happiness for Alaric is a must. He has always been unlucky in the love department, losing every woman he has been with on the show. Having a woman in his life isn’t completely necessary. For him, his twin girls may be just the people he needs to make him completely happy, but it would be important to show something like this.

While sticking with the idea of love and happiness, Damon and Elena getting back together is a need for many The Vampire Diaries fans. Is it possible that something like this can happen? While Julie Plec has said that she and Dobrev had an agreement that Elena would return at the very end, nothing was set in stone. It is possible that Dobrev will be too busy in the end; similar to the way Sarah Michelle Gellar was too busy to come back for Angel‘s penultimate episode, as originally planned.

Finally, The Vampire Diaries fans want to see a season focused on the main characters. Each season has brought in new people for fans to connect to and learn about. The problem this season is there are only 16 episodes. Each episode needs to be connected to the main characters. The only characters who can be brought into it are familiar faces, like Jeremy and Tyler. There is one new character planned, but no more like the Heretics, please!
