Jana Duggar Still Single As Sister Gets Engaged: Why Hasn’t Jana Started Courting?
The news came out today that Jinger Duggar is engaged to Jeremy Vuolo, and the two are doing great. Now, everyone is curious what is going on with her older sister Jana Duggar, who is still single at this time. So many people have expected Jana Duggar to announce that she is engaged or courting, but it hasn’t happened yet. The International Business Times is sharing some of the details of why Jana Duggar might not have announced a courtship and isn’t married yet.

Jana Duggar is the oldest sister, but younger sisters Jill and Jessa are already married. They both have their first child as well. Now, it turns out that her sister Jinger is engaged as well. Jana Duggar is looking for the perfect guy, though, and she won’t just date anyone who comes along. This could be part of why she is staying single for so long.
Jana did explain on a past episode of Jill & Jessa: Counting On why she hadn’t started courting yet.
“I don’t really know what the next five years look like. I guess in some ways [I’ve] got hopes and dreams like, ‘Well, maybe I’ll meet the one, and get married and have kids. I’m not just out to get married to the first one that comes along. I mean, sometimes it can be tempting. … [Especially] in those moments where your siblings, who are married and have little ones, are going out on dates and doing their things.”
Everyone knows that Jana Duggar is attracted to men who will get their hands dirty. She isn’t afraid to talk about what she wants in a man. The right one hasn’t come along for her so far. One person who Jana was linked to was Zach Bates of the Bates family from the show Bringing Up Bates. Sources said that Zach asked Jim Bob Duggar for permission to court Jana, but he said no. The reason he didn’t approve was because Jana wasn’t interested. She isn’t going to date just anyone.
Jana has made it very clear that it isn’t just about being married. She wants the perfect guy for her. Even though Jana seems old for a Duggar to not be married, she is only 26-years-old. Jana still has plenty of time to find the right man for her. There is no reason to rush into it just for the sake of getting married, and Jana Duggar realizes it.
There were rumors for a while that Jana Duggar was courting football player Tim Tebow. Radar Online said that Tim finally revealed the truth about these rumors. It was revealed that the two had never actually met each other. If they were to start courting, a meeting would still need to happen. Jana and Tim do seem like a great match considering their religious backgrounds.

The new season of Counting On will obviously be about Jinger and Jeremy meeting and courting. Fans haven’t had the chance to get to know Jeremy better yet. It would be great if Jana Duggar found love this season, too. Everyone would love to see Jana find the one, but for now, they are just going to have to wait. This season, fans will also get to see Jill and Derick talk about having another child and Jessa and Ben discuss adopting a child.
