Jennifer Lawrence Sings In Her New Horror Movie, ‘House At The End Of The Street’ [Video]

Jennifer Lawrence can shoot a bow, take a turn in comedies, and even earn herself an Academy Award nomination, so why not try singing too?

That’s precisely what the young star has done. For her new horror movie House at the End of the Street, Jennifer performed the song song “All You’ve Got to Do is Fall in Love” by Benji Hughes, and it was all seen in a video posted by Yahoo! Movies.

Jennifer Lawrence is having a pretty good year so far. She starred in the third-highest grossing film of the year, The Hunger Games, and is earning some great buzz for her first comedic role in the upcoming Silver Linings Playbook.

In House at the End of the Street, Jennifer Lawrence plays Elissa, a high school student who sings and plays guitar. Her singing scene comes as she sits on the front porch while a new neighbor, played by Max Theriot, watches from his home.

Though she’s been able to show off a number of talents, Lawrence doesn’t seem to high on her abilities.

“I’m such a bad dancer,” Lawrence told W Magazine. “I don’t have many talents: I’m not a good cook, I can’t clean and I can’t sew. The only thing I can do well is shoot a bow and arrow — which I learned to do for The Hunger Games and will probably never come in handy — and act. Imagine me 100 years ago: I would have been pointless.”

Although Lawrence said she wasn’t so sure about her singing abilities, the movie’s music supervisor Steve Lindsey said working with her in the recording studio was a “great day.”

“Even [though] she was nervous, her humor about the situation shined through with her begging for us to ‘Photoshop’ her voice,” he noted.

But that wasn’t necessary, Yahoo! Movies noted — her singing was spot on. Of course, Jennifer Lawrence has some experience singing. She sang a lullaby a cappella in The Hunger Games and sang along with a car radio in 2008’s The Poker House.
